Hi All
(sorry if this is in the wrong section, but this is the closest place to 'correct' that a user of my level can start a new topic)

I am looking at the battle road patch on the RWVA Store, and am wondering if anyone has a specific set of requirements for that patch? With a school trip and 2 Boy scout trips i have walked over 50% of the battle road(have photos to prove it), and am wondering if that is enough? Or, can someone lay out the requirements for that patch, and while we are at it, the Son of Liberty Patch interests me, and as there is no info on the store, i am looking here to find the requirements.

Thanks in advance!

A quick search produced nothing.  I suspect that if none can be found, then they don't exist.

Since a Scout is Trustworthy, it seems to me that if you say you qualify, then you qualify.

My GUESS is that if there are specific requirements, you will required show proof when you try to order.

This is what I remember, it's not verbatim, but it stuck in my head for some reason.

Battle Road Tab, for those who have made the pilgrimage to Battle Road, Lexington Green, The North Bridge, etc.

Son of Liberty tab, for those IIT's under 16 or 18 (depending on State Coordinator ruling, as some states say that if you're not 18 you cannot legally enter a contract) that have completed requirements for PC-I.

So, until someone corrects this thread, that is what I know

Number 6 post is correct.

The "Battle Road" tab is available to all Appleseed participants and instructors who have toured "Battle Road" in Massachusetts. It is has always been available on the honor system.

The "Son of Liberty" tab is awarded to all who become Appleseed instructors in training ages 18 and under.

Rut Roh ... as as volunteer in Scouting and Appleseed, you know that when you suggest something, you should be prepared to jump in make it happen.  What do you propose as a way to document this issue for quick and easy future reference?

I would put it on TIPS if it were me, maybe make a "Patch" Section that has all the info on winterseed, battle road, son of liberty, Infernoseed, any any other special patches i have missed. And yes, i am familiar with the scouting "you suggested it" system  ;D
