Jim Owens has new editions of his books available on CD, Kindle and print. If you read these books you will see things that you find very familiar from your experiences in Appleseed. But you will also find more detail and other options. I own these books and have attended Jim's 5 day class. These new editions bring better graphics and updated information not available in the previous editions from the 1990's.

Coincidentally, I just decided to buy this set of books yesterday.  I ordered it on Sinclair, which showed it in stock, only to get a backorder notice from them.  So I checked Midway--they're all out of stock, and Midway doesn't sell it as a set anyway.  So I checked MSG Owens's own website, and tried to place the set of 4 into my shopping cart there.  The link for the set of 4 print books on his website, however, actually puts the CD set into your shopping cart.  So, in other words, it's awfully darn difficult right now to get your hands on the books.  I've written to him to see if he can help me.  But I'm starting to fear that he's let the print version go out of print, and decided to concentrate on the new kindle versions.

I hate kindle.

I'll update when I hear back from him, if I get anything to report.
The chief mark of the Declaration of Independence is the theory of equality.  It is the pure classic conception that no man must aspire to be anything more than a citizen, and that no man should endure to be anything less.

--GK Chesterton

I believe in liberty very much as Jefferson did, allowing for the fact that a hundred years of history and experience have taught me to believe a little more than he did in original sin.

My apologies to the Marines on the board.  I wrote MSG.  I believe I should have written Master Gunnery Sergeant.

I don't know the current status of all of the books. I have editions from the 90's and I have ordered the CD's. I believe that all of the CD's (with the exception of the sling CD) are available right now. The sling CD is still 8-10 days out.

Truthfully I am at the point where I prefer the CD and the ability to print things myself. But I can tell you that Jim answers his phone when you call if he is available.
