HEADS UP!

I am currently in a very fast running conversation with the US Sportsman's Alliance regarding an event they run with Cabelas on the 3rd of May. Link to last year's event:  http://www.ammoland.com/2013/05/cabelas-to-host-trailblazer-adventure-program-nationwide/#axzz2wRSYqTKg

They would like volunteers for the day to help youth on the BB ranges.  The MO and KY Appleseed groups are also taking part.  We will be able to wear our Appleseed gear and handout fliers, etc.  This should be a great Promo event and maybe a door opener to a larger AS presence at Cabelas.

The stores that are in scope are:

  • Rogers
  • Owatonna
  • East Grand Forks
  • Mitchell, SD

The Woodbury store will not be open in time to take part of this event.

I will have more details by Saturday's IBC.  Keilee from the USSA has committed to me that she will have info by then.  ---  BTW.... Keilee has been very impressed by our interest so she signed up for an Appleseed in Ohio next month just to come and see us.

Thanks!

UPDATE:
Rogers and Owatonna are confirmed for 3 May.   Details to follow!    The other stores are under conversation.

I am not an AS instructor but I am a rifleman and certified MN firearms safety instructor.  Will have to see if the wife's made plans for me that weekend yet.  Rogers is a howitzers throw away.
Owning a chainsaw doesn't make you a logger.  Put some wood on the truck and keep all your fingers and toes at the end of the day, then I'll be impressed.  Likewise with rifles.
