MR B (549)

A picture perfect weekend. I was honored to spend my two year anniversary at Appleseed with five fine shooters who showed up squared away and ready to go. The minuteman prerogative !!!!
After the first redcoat we had three qualifying at the 200 and one at the 400 only one got bayoneted .This set the tone for the first day and the shooters should congratulate themselves for the constant improvement shown throughout the day.

Shooters LeeWhey and Ryan , returnees improved immensely albeit had some problems with some ammunition failing to ignite and again congrats and hat tips for being safe about waiting till an instructor was able to clear said problem. Still , not despondent LeeWhey continued to get down and shoot and by Sunday had achieved a high score of 192 on her AQT!!!!!!  ^:)^

Her beau Ryan also did exceptionally well throughout the weekend , really taking his time with that sometimes illusive NPOA and after much persistence re qualified with an amazing 217. Well done. !!!!!!! ;D

First time shooter Paul aka "Sarge " , a true patriot , took to the COF like a duck to water and was banging out his rapids with time to spare. He managed to have a high score of 194 for the weekend!!!!

Alex , also a first timer , got down to business with a center fire rifle which was a mere month old and was doing justice to the thing by the end of his first day , continuing to have an amazing score of 196 by end of Sunday. Keep at it , you are so close.

Now to Ed , the guy who got bayoneted on the first Redcoat of the day , and who showed up with an m1 carbine in .22lr , with persistence and dedication managed to pull off a 210 on Sunday and got a taste of some north bridge water to boot !!!!!! Well done . O0

I have to say that I couldn't have been more blessed with a bunch of shooters who were attentive at every step and who didn't falter or complain but kept moving throughout the heat , dust and wind that is typical of Piru.. Everyone showed great improvement and more importantly I believe that they absorbed the message of the heroes of April 19 1775 and were inspired by their stories .
I would like to thank them all personally for making the shoot run seamlessly by being punctual and attentive..You are all men and women who know very much what you are about and should be very proud of yourselves !!!!

Much thanks also to Ventura Steve and Greatful Dog for helping out and making this a wonderful shoot .

I hope to see you all on the line again

Thanks again to the instructors, Brian, Steve, and Pete. Without them, I would certainly not be where I am today...

All the students were top-notch and made our weekend there a pleasure.

LeeWhay and I again had a lot of fun with everyone, instructors and students alike.

Even though LeeWhay got a bit frustrated with her sights getting misaligned by 2 inches high by some mysterious force of nature halfway through, she still wants to come back and do better! I guess that means I get to come back and help out.

Thanks for letting me prove to myself that my previous 210 Rifleman score (using the 30 cal rule) was not just beginners luck. And, thanks for giving me the elusive "California" patch!
