What ever happened to this?  http://www.romeotangobravo.net/2013/11/ruger-1022-appleseed-liberty-training.html

Tried searching a little and no luck.

I just accessed the link you mentioned in your post. Looks like it's a "go".

I am expecting Ruger to make some sort of announcement about it during SHOT Show. Today is the first day and I haven't seen anything yet but if it pops up it will be on the list.

RTB - I know Gary (mac66) said that Ruger expected that the rifle would be ready to show at the NRA Show in May.  Based on that report, and the fact that they recently have been pushing toward "don't announce until ready to ship" do you still think they are going to talk about it at SHOT?

Steel, there is a chance they could mention it. I'm unsure if they will fully unveil it. Shot Show is four days long and companies have been known to hold out on some surprises until later in the week.

With this one; 'time will tell' sums it up

I'm trying to find more info and a better picture but the rifle on top of the display looks like what we've been looking for.

Grunt Soldier, I am not at SHOT this year unfortunately. I am conducting coverage from the comfort of my couch with some hot coffee.
This was just the first day of SHOT so hopefully we will find out/see more.

How about this shot of it from Ruger's Facebook page?

QuoteMark Gurney is holding the winning design from Ruger's 10/22® 50th Anniversary Design Contest. It features American Rimfire stock modules, the Gunsite Scout rifle rail and sights, and a flash suppressor. The rifle will be available this Spring.

That looks like the same display in the background.  Is that from the Shot Show?

It looks great!  Thinking a little here.  Hmmmm.  Sure would be a shame to let this opportunity pass without jumping in.  What I mean is:  WE/ Appleseed rallied the team to get an out of the box Ruger LTR.  O0  Let's not stop there!

We need to get a Trifold in every box.  Better yet how about a gift certificate to an AS or a coupon.

Do we have any contacts at Ruger?

mac66

Until someone told me I didn't know they had actually made one.  I am guessing it is just a prototype/pre production model. It may be the only one right now. I have not heard when (other that this spring) when it will go into production.

The Ruger LTR is on the Ruger facebook page. Liking it would help spread the word.

I was at SHOT and didn't see it at the Ruger booth. I assume they aren't ready with production yet.

I do know that the American series rifles are coming out of their new Madison NC plant. (hammer forged barrels :) )
They may be tooling up to do 10/22 at that facility as well, from what I heard they are trying to double their production for a short time to catch up on production, then pack up and move their New Haven facility down to NC as well.

It is a good time to live in NC :)

I had heard the MSRP on this rifle is between $300-400. Any word on this?

FiremanBob

I read somewhere that MSRP will be $440 which means an LGS price of $380-390.

I just saw this on TFB, the markings on the side...

Oof. I was tentatively planning on getting one to use as a loaner rifle at shoots, but I may just build another LTR and save $100.

It was there. :)  I think it looks pretty nice.  My biggest current question is how easily the windage and elevation adjustments will work.  I have little doubt it will shoot just fine.

I will definitely be buying one when they come out.

Way to go Gary

We're all real proud of Gary but Ruger hasn't designated this rifle as an "Appleseed LTR".  Gary did an excellent job and deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and creativity, but it remains Ruger's rifle.  The fast that they chose Gary's design for their 50th Anniversary 10/22 is quite impressive.

We need to be careful about "claiming" Ruger's 50th Anniversary 10/22 as an Appleseed rifle in posts here and on other forums.  Our industry team are working hard behind the scenes to nurture a relationship with Ruger and we wouldn't want to jeopardize their hard work.

I don't think it's actually "out" yet. Has anyone seen one for sale? I'm keeping an eye out at Davidson's (currently 0 stock):

For those who are curious, I checked with my Davidson's rep today, and they do not yet have any sort of ETA.  They do have quite a few on order, though there's no way to predict how many they will actually receive.
