MAG-40 coming to Michigan

MAG40 is coming back to Michigan, taught by Mas Ayoob himself. Class will be taught near Battle Creek.  This is some of the single best training I've taken, focusing on the ethics and legalities of self defense. We all like the shooting part...this class will make you think through WHY you've chosen to defend your family and yourself and make sure you understand your obligations and responsibilities.  I highly recommend this class. I took it in 2012.

This message is to let you know that Student Registrations are now open for the 12-15 June 2014 MAG-40 training session, and that there are roster slots open.
 
If you have previously attended a MAG-40 (formerly LFI-1) session, we thank you and then ask you to please consider a repeat "tune up" visit at 50% of the normal tuition.  Also, please pass along this message---with attachment---to friends and acquaintances whom you feel may benefit from such use-of-force legal education and marksmanship skills training.
 
The only prerequisites to attend any MAG training session are:  1) Registration Form (see attached), 2) Proof of clean criminal record, and 3) Payment of tuition in full or deposit.
 
With our MAG-40 training sessions held during 201 2 and 2013 being successful , available slots for the subject 201 4 session are anticipated to fill up very quickly.  The 2013 session was especially good because we were able to return to our own home grounds, rather than use a rented facility.

Please know that Mr. Massad "Mas" Ayoob will personally lead the student instruction during the subject 13 -16 June 2014 course . This is one of the very few situations where "just plain folks" like us will receive personal attention from one of the world's most famous masters in Self Defense.
 
The MAG-40 course covers material and techniques that all truly educated and aware CCW citizens and LEO's should know. I sincerely wish every CCW holder's training were required to include much of what is covered in the Use Of Force discussions. The vast amount of learning you will gain about the legal and liability aspects of CCW responsibility during a MAG-40 session will astound you.  Not only will you come away a better shooter, but more importantly you will have superior knowledge of when and when not use of lethal force is justified.
 
Finally, Mas Ayoob's courses can be fun family activities or "buddy" adventures! We have many husband and wife couples, parent and child teams, as well as individual male and female students, and for the June 201 4 session my own son will be attending. My wife enjoyed her training course participation a few years ago, and she has continued to improve her Self Defense skills ever since. Massad Ayoob's MAG-40 is truly a unique experience. If you do attend, then you will have a lot of fun while you also come away with more knowledge and improved skills!

There are lots of courses that teach how to shoot.  Not many teach when to shoot.  MAG-40 does.

I took this class last summer.  I learned more about the judicious use of deadly force than I ever expected.  Anyone who owns a gun for personal protection needs to know the rules of engagement in order to stay out of trouble.  MAG-40 teaches that. 

The course is not cheap, but it costs much less than a defense attorney.

Grindstone, Quickest and easiest would be East side of Kalamazoo, there are a couple good hotels on Sprinkle or Cork st. It's about a 10-15 minute drive form there. The hotels in BC would all be about 25-30 minutes. Would offer to let you camp out at our place (40 minute drive) but we already have company that weekend.

Have a friend in AR who just took the class this past weekend. Since he had on one of our shirts, Mas actually requested that he get up and talk about Appleseed to the entire class. Apparently that is a normal occurrence, so wear your shirts and be ready. We can use the boost to our numbers any way we can get them

Mas is a supporter of Appleseed and has attended and scored Rifleman.  When I took MAG40 in 2012, he let me do just as Rascal noted...talk about Appleseed at a break and hand out info.
