Finally cooling off in Texas.

8 shooters with 8 returning Sunday too.

Got 1 Rifleman, Ed, who's interested in becoming an instructor. Hope so.

One Father/2 Son team - James, Michael, and Joseph. Father started off shooting well and got a lot better. His two sons had shotgun patterns Saturday. By Sunday though they were about to get 2 to 3 rounds in the black square targets. Big improvement.

Other Father/Son team - Steve, who drove all the way down from Missouri to take his son to Davilla, and Chris - his son.

Steve shot dang good - really close to getting a patch - as did Chris his son. Chris would have shot rifleman but somebody shot his target during one AQT so he only got a 204 instead of 210.

Ed and Nick - two of the troops from Ft. Hood. Ed shot rifleman - and Nick wasn't too far behind. Nick mentioned he came because marksmanship instruction in the Army isn't quite up to snuff.

Bill - Did great with a 22 - then switched over to a Mosin. Them things kick like a mule. I believe he developed a flinch after trying to shoot all day Sunday with it. Those are not fun to shoot. You think a 308 has a kick. Oh - and it was the short barrel Mosin carbine he was shooting to boot.
