Sun mountain Gun Club in Coarsegold, California again opened their rifle range to us for an Appleseed shoot.  We had one shooter, a 12 year old young man.  Daniel is very  interested in rifle marksmanship, and is taking American history in school.  We were able to fill in the details of April 19, 1775 that his text book "may have missed..."

The weather was hot, but Daniel hung in there very well.  He listened and applied the principles we taught.  His groups shrank and scores climbed.  We are expecting him back at another shoot very soon to continue his journey to becoming a rifleman.

We ended up sharing the range with hunters zeroing their rifles for opening day.  They were very cooperative about making the range cold when we needed to swap targets, but we did not go down range after each course of fire as much as we would have liked.  Next year I definitely will not schedule a shoot there right before hunting season!

All hang in there! Kudos for enduring even for a single shooter. That single shooter could multiply into many many more! Just ask Samuel Whittemore!
