Any ideas on fixing a damaged ProMax rifle case?

I was at Meijer last night and saw this case in the clearance section. Some gorilla damaged it and one of the latches was missing. It will still shut and the maker is sending out a new latch, but I was looking for ideas on improving the damaged area (see photo). My thought is to move one of the latches to latch it closed, clamp the edges into proper alignment and run a bolt into the lock hole to hold the corner in position. I would then "gently" warm the plastic with a heat gun and allow it to cool in position. Anyone have suggestions?

1. Point the sights where they need to be pointed
2. Keep 'em there while you squeeze the trigger.
3. Repeat
