New York State LIBERTYSEED Opportunities

LIBERTYSEEDS are a terrific way to connect with so many wonderful folks and to also preserve the telling of our great American history.

A LIBERTYSEED is the simple telling of the "Three Strikes of The Match", the events in our American history of April 19, 1775. It is also the providing of an insight into the lives and thoughts of the great people that formed our nation.

We had all considered ourselves to be educated and intelligent. We considered ourselves to knowledgeable in many ways. And yet, until we came to an Appleseed Event we had never heard of some of the greatest heroes in American history. We know the names of Parker, Davis, Heath, Lamson, and Whittemore  and their stories by heart today. But we had never before heard of them. We came to realize how little we personally knew about our great country.

And had someone not volunteered their time to bravely stand up in front of a crowd of strangers to tell the "Three Strikes", we would all still be ignorant of the true formation of our great nation. That is why you all have answered the call to donate your time and efforts to keeping our history alive. To remember those that stood up long before us.

What I am asking of you now is to look for opportunities for the telling of the "Three Strikes" at any place or event that persons may gather. Any ideas!!! Large or small!!! Want to do the NY State Fair with thousands of people??? How about your sons Little League Baseball Team??? A local Gun Show??? VFW? VFD? DAR? Joe's Diner? Angie's Bar? Central Park? Any place that people may gather would be ideal to tell the tales of the American Revolution. To those that already have some interest and to those that do not yet know how interested they will soon be.

LIBERTYSEEDS can be done in many settings. They can be formal with arrangements and invitations far in advance or they may be done on the spur of the moment. With one person attending or a thousand, it makes no difference. In many respects I guess we all do mini-LIBERTYSEEDS everyday. And that is as it should be.
