We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

They ALWAYS can use instructors. They recognize RWVA credentials. Great place to 7th step.

SPECIAL ALERT - SAVE THE DATE!

NRA DAY / ISRA RANGE OPEN HOUSE SLATED FOR JUNE 22

Yes, folks, it's that time of year again. Time for the ISRA Range to swing open its gates to the public for a day of shooting, networking and good, clean fun!

This year's NRA Day at the ISRA Range promises to be bigger than ever! More guns, more manufacturers reps, more opportunities to learn more about the shooting sports.

For those of you who have been to past open houses, you'll be happy to hear that, in anticipation of growing attendance, we've streamlined our registration scheme so that you'll spend a lot less time in the registration line and a lot more time on the firing line!
You can print the registration forms at http://openhouse.isra.org, fill them out and bring them with you to save time!

Here's the particulars:

Date: June 22, 2013.

Time: Gates open at 10:00 AM with the last shot fired at 4:00 PM

Location: The ISRA Range is located on Warner Bridge Road, midway between Routes 113 and Route 17, near Bonfield, IL.  Find directions to the range at  http://openhouse.isra.org

Do not bring any personal firearms or ammunition to the range openhouse.

A safety briefing is mandatory for all shooters.

We provide eye and ear protection.

Parking and admission are free, but we will collect a nominal fee for ammunition.

We hope to see you on the 22nd!

There are no Appleseed Weekends in Illinois next week  :'(   , however there is an opportunity to 7th Step all over the place!

The ISRA has put a call out for volunteers - lunch and a ticket to enter the Volunteer door prize drawing are included. If you don't belong to illinoiscarry.com - here is the post shamelessly borrowed:

As you probably know, the ISRA Open House is coming up fast on June 22nd!  It takes a great many volunteers to put on this event and so far we are coming up short! We have an URGENT need for additional volunteers RIGHT NOW!

We don't just need firearm instructors, we also need many volunteers to staff non-shooting areas too!

Please download the volunteer form, fill out and FAX, scan/email or mail the form today to The ISRA office! You can also call the ISRA office at 815-635-3198 to volunteer or get more information.

Download the volunteer form here!

All volunteers will receive a free lunch and a ticket to enter the volunteer door prize drawing held at the end of the day, after the days clean up.

They have an urgent need and we have the answer!  Right now Wurstmacher, Steck and Kelso just finished their long day with 9 Americans at this Range.

The Illinois Instructor Corps has the opportunity to thank Bonfield and the ISRA for their past support (not to mention prime the pump for the remaining 3 shoots in 2013  ;D )

One day, 6 hours and the opportunity to pass on "What we are about..." - can you go?

You bet that Ratboy & I will be there, one of us working with the kids at the .22 Rifle area, the other at the Pistol area (since pistols are an especially hot topic) --

who has the most obnoxious color-combination of Appleseed gear to wear?

The ISRA is very short on volunteers for this Saturday ... given current legislation in Illinois, you can bet there will be an overwhelming number of new faces there!  Come wear your Appleseed swag and make some friends ... last year there were 2100!  Anyone can help, you needn't be a member of the range or even the ISRA.

You KNOW you can get there, this way.  Reassure yourself that these are the correct coordinates by looking at the aerial view, you can see the range itself.

Bump - I'll be weed pulling, goat milking, straw moving, and canning tomorrow - but you all will fill me in on the fun up there - right?

Have a great time folks and thanks for your volunteering for "Our Range"
