RIFLEMEN needed in New Bremen, New York

The New Bremen Fish and Game Club is kind enough to host three Appleseed Events in 2013. The dates are as follows: May 4 & 5, June 8 & 9, and July 27 & 28.

There is an urgent need for sturdy RIFLEMAN of all abilities to gather on the firing lines of New Bremen's "25 METER RANGE", "200 YARD RANGE" and "400 YARD RANGE", for a weekend of MARKSMANSHIP AND HERITAGE. Shoot Bosses, Instructors of all levels, and students with a burning desire are needed.

This is true RIFLEMANS country located between the Western Adirondack Region and the Tug Hill Region of New York State. The area is know for it's sudden weather changes and there will always be the chance of presenting WINTERSEED PATCHES at ANY of these events. Snow, Sleet, Hail, Bazing Sun, Rain, Fog, Sub-Zero Temperatures, Melting Heat, Mud, Blowing Sand and Beautiful Blue Sky, You may see it all between the first and the last REDCOAT!!!!!

Bring your cameras for the area offers wide ranges of rolling hills, wide fields, raging rivers and mountains. It is the land of the woodsman and farmer. Amish wagons and log trucks cross the roads under the giant power windmills!!! You will no doubt see some of the abundant wildlife that ranges from the MILLIONS of blackflies etc., to the occasional MOOSE !!!! Deer are all over and EXTREME CAUTION should be taken when driving in this region. The Town of Crogan has in many years been ranked as having the highest bear population in New York State. The dogs are friendly but, also like to chew on your ear plugs.

Bring your appetite. This is the home of the world record largest CHEESECAKE made by the Kraft Cheese Plant in Lowville. Fresh Cheese Curd is avaliable at the LOWVILLE CO-OP. VINNY"S PIZZA in Crogan has the best pie north of "the city". And a small ice cream cone from WISHY'S across the street will feed a family of four!!!! The NEW BREMEN GENERAL STORE will keep you happy, supply your needs and can sell you a club membership too.

Yes, staff at all levels is needed. But, if you wish that you could ever get to shoot, this is the event for you to come to, step to the line and "BE A RIFLEMAN"!!!!

SHOOT BOSS NEEDED FOR NEW BREMEN, NY - RIFLEMEN NEEDED - There are several exciting things in the works that are happening to develop these events. This will be a wonderful apportunity for everyone to spend some time in the dirt!!!! So reserve your slot at the New Bremen Appleseed!!!!

This is shaping up to be near perfect weather for an Appleseed - sunny with high temps near 70 and a slight breeze and lows around 45 overnight (campers, bring your medium bags).

Krisker and I should be on-site by late afternoon on Friday to set up and greet any early arrivals.  Tent camping is available at the club and the rest rooms should be opened up as well.  Just a reminder to bring plenty of cooking and drinking water - the club President says the water is supposed to be OK, but he wouldn't drink it.

We'll be running Known Distance to 400 yards on Sunday, so bring your centerfire rifle if you want to get in some KD practice.

Krisker is planning to make a pot of chili one day and a pan of Lasagna the other, so we won't be hungry.

There's still room for 14 students, so come on up to The Plateau and bring your friends and family along with you.

I will bet you a NICKLE, that the echoes of marksmanship and heritage, from the SPARTAN setting of the New Bremen Fish and Game Club, did RATTLEHEAD's of the neighbors and awoke every U.S.CAVALRYMAN slumbering at the nearby fort. Come up to New Bremen and help to preserve the hard work of others before us.

Give hommage to their efforts by spending some quality time on the 400 yard rifle range. Both shooters and instructors get quite an education. Come to share, to adapt, to persever and to learn. RIFLEMEN NEEDED!!!!!

The June 8th and 9th New Bremen Appleseed Event is close at hand and we have plenty of room left on the line for more RIFLEMEM!!!! Remember that this is THE ONLY range currently in this state that offers a full 400 yards of Appleseed Instruction!!!! Grab your rifle and head to New Bremen for a fantastic weekend of marksmanship and history.

Folks, just a reminder that the last New Bremen Appleseed Event of 2013 will be held on the weekend of July 27 and 28.

This is a wonderful opportunity to attend and actually put all your Appleseed tools to work. This is an event geared toward growth, development, testing and just plain learning some good ole stuff.   

If you are an instructor or student that wishes to share a weekend on the rifle line with some wonderful people, than the dirt of New Bremen is the place you need to be on Saturday morning at 8:30 am.

Remember the new rules of New Bremen that now apply to all students and instructors with no exceptions, "EVERYONE SHOOTS AT NEW BREMEN, EVERYONE SHOOTS KD and EVERYONE TELLS HISTORY".

The final New Bremen Appleseed Event for 2013 is now completed. For all of those that made the trip to the simple range that we think of as home, we say thank you. To some it may seem, from the above posts, that we may get a little carried away in our praise of the event and the area. But for those of you that attended New Bremen for the first time, we trust that it exceeded your expectations. The students all did a super job and walked away changed..  The teaching staff of Another D.O.M., Gunville, Grumpy1 and Dude made the 2013 New Bremen Appleseed Events spectacular!

The 2014 New Bremen Appleseed Events are coming soon!!!! Three dates have already been chosen and will be listed in the 2014 schedule. We are hoping to expand on both the 25m program and the KD program in 2014. Do not be surprised if we run some "VINNY'S PIZZA 40 round RFAQT's" or some "WISHY'S ICE CREAM long range FDAQT's".

To those of you that have never been to a New Bremen, NY Appleseed event, join us next year. For those of you that have, well, "I'll see ya when ya get home".
