Washington & Warren County Federations

BUS TRIP TO ALBANY FOR THE NY STATE RIFLE & PISTOL

ASSOC. RALLY ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28 AT THE LEGISLATIVE OFFICE BUILDING (LOB) IN ALBANY
Everyone is welcome to ride with us regardless of where you live (Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Essex, etc.

The Warren and Washington County Federations are sponsoring a bus to Albany for the rally on February 28.  The ride is free but if you would like to donate to offset the cost you may do so.  You need to sign up for the ride by calling Jami Whitney (642-9570) or Rick Haag (793-6527) to reserve a seat.  Jami has reserved a 55 seat coach style bus for the ride.  If we need a second bus we will have one. It's super critical this year.  We need to have a full bus.

Riding with us (shooting sports men & women) means you can sit back and relax.  You do not have the traffic and parking situations and costs should you decide to drive yourself.   You are dropped off by the LOB and picked up conveniently for the return trip home.  We will return by midafternoon.

It's time you commit to make a difference this year.  Get off your butt call Jami or Rick and reserve your spot.  Mark it on your calendar and commit to "just do it".  Bus leaves Hartford Fish & Game Club @ 7:30 am; Hudson Falls Fish & Game @ 7:45 am and Aviation Mall approximately 8:00 am.

February 28th, 2012    Go to:  www.nysrpa.org We need your help, letters / phone calls, e-mails,,,,,

This is another Lobby Day, we need to get in the the Legislators Offices this day by large numbers and express OUR thoughts on the Bill of Rights which is being destroyed.

It is often said we won't allow it to happen, well guess what....,,,,,

A lot of TRUE AMERICANS gave the ultimate sacrifice and so many more served to defend these documents that are being destroyed a little at a time. Being rewrote to meet the needs of the current political agenda.

What it happening in New York is soon to be coming to the other states.

Items attached, please forward - and help, this is not good for us.

New Rally Flyer and Attached is the FOIL Opt Out Form that you will have to complete and submit to your County Clerk by April 15, 2013 if you do not want your personal information released if a FOIL request is submitted to your County for Pistol Permit License information. I believe this form will need to be submitted every 5 years if we do not get the NYSafe Act repealed.

Once again, we need EVERYONE at the February 28 Rally at the Legislative Office Building. So far, the response from our members is VERY DISAPPOINTING. If our Club is representative of the general population of gun owners in New York State, we are all in trouble. I just can't understand why more people are not involved? As you can see, this legislation affects every gun owner in NYS. There is more draconian legislation in the works such as requiring all gun owners to purchase liability insurance, and a requirement that all gun owners provide a psychiatric evaluation to own firearms. If you think I'm kidding, the bills are below.

Lets ALL meet in Albany next Thursday. See you there.

Dude

The state map of counties with resolutions passed against the non-safe gun act is encouraging. BOTG at these meetings are getting things done. For counties that are on the fence, we will go to the towns and when enough towns in a county have a resolution, the county will look foolish not to go along. It's working. We are being well received, both by town and county boards and by the citizenry.

If they do NOT have this on their agenda, we speak at the end, and they WILL put it on the agenda for the next meeting. Find a copy of a county or town resolution and take copies with you and give it to them. Approach from the standpoint that WHEREVER they may stand on the issue, that this was done disengeniously, late at night, and forced through with a FALSE message of necessity. NO ONE care more deeply for the children than I do.  But this needs to be properly doen and in an effective way, not a way that restricts the CIVIL rights of millions of law abiding gun owners.

"THIS IS NOT THE WAY WE GOVERN OUR PEOPLE!" Then, bring up A/S, and that we will be the ONLY state in the union that will not be able to properly perform our program and teach the best gun safety program there is.

Nothing short of repeal is acceptable or wise given the seriousness of the issue.

They'll respond to that.

Three Days and a wake up, you in?????????

Come Rally in Albany
Rally harder than you ever rallied before!
DON'T BE FOOLED - NO AMENDMENTS TO THE SAFE ACT !

There is a political movement to "amend" the Safe Act. The politically savvy knew this would be the lawmakers' strategy from the beginning. This is the ploy of Cuomo and friends! When the law was written the politicians knew it was unconstitutional. They knew from the start the Safe Act would need to be amended (that might be why they didn't read it). AhHaa! They think we are fools - are you a fool? If the Safe Act gets amended there is little chance for the courts to strike down the law. Without amendments the Safe Act is likely to be struck down by the Supreme Court. Your politicians are betraying YOU, US - and America. If any elected official says "trust me" amendments to the Safe Act will make everything ok - you found a betrayer.

THE SAFE ACT MUST BE REPEALED - PERIOD !

ALBANY FEB 28TH REPEAL RALLY

Arrive early to organize chants of NO AMENDMENTS - REPEAL REPEAL!
The Rally begins at 11:15 am -
Capitol Park / 198 State Street - Albany, NY 12210 -
Speakers begin at Noon.

If any Speaker should suggest amending the Safe Act -
Boo them off the stage !

We are winning this fight for our 2nd Amendment rights. Since the SAFE Act was passed just weeks ago 47 Counties and 16 Towns have passed resolutions against the law. 6 Sheriffs have made public proclamations to not comply and the Assoc of Clerks OPPOSE the Safe Act. There is an ever growing list of public organizations being added daily. We can not be fooled, tricked or betrayed. Tell your friends and neighbors - this rally is a MUST attend. We MUST make "them" hear - loud and clear - NO AMENDMENTS - REPEAL... REPEAL

Many 1,000s of New Yorkers will be driving and at least 100 bus loads of others will descend on the capitol on February 28th for a lobby and rally of epic proportion. It's about the REPEAL of the new gun law (S.A.F.E Act) and the proposed gun insurance law (#A03908) which would require gun owners to obtain liability insurance of not less than one million dollars. A large portion of citizens object to both and will make it known to NYS lawmakers. Spread the word far and wide - Join Us in Albany on February 28th for the rally and lobby.

EPIC ALBANY EVENT FEB 28

Rally/Lobby info/details important

Special Note: to all bus operators - we know of 100 buses heading to Albany on the 28th. We have special instructions from Albany Bus Control for all bus companies and operators. Please send Al an email address for us to send you an info packet and maps  albel1@aol.com. If you have a bus to Albany and are not on our list please do the same. All buses on the 28th must follow the same procedures. The City of Albany is gearing up for a major event and they want all to go as smooth as possible - they are on our side.

*** There is always room for more people - keep spreading the word - this should be an exciting adventure!!!

All those attending on the 28th are urged to arrive a little earlier than you desire and be patient - expect congestion. Please tell all to do the same - this is gonna be a great day - keep smiling.
If you are arriving by car please go directly to Capitol Park West (the Capitol steps). There you will meet guides. They will assist you to go to either the Rally or guide you to the entrances of the LOB or the Capitol.
There are 4 entrances to the buildings - 1 on Washington Ave and 3 on State St. - 1 State St entrance on the Capitol side of the street - 1 entrance on the LOB side of the street - and one through the Justice Building (where there is more lanes of entry). ALL entrances get you to anywhere in the complex.
All buses will arrive at the Madison Ave Plaza Entrance (there will be no exceptions). You will leave the bus and go straight in the entrance. You will walk straight down the very long hallway. When you near  the other end you will be below State St. You will then choose to go through security (no metal objects) to Lobby or continue to the end and go out the building onto State St. to the rally in the park (across State St.)

Prep Rally at 11:15am; Melody Burns will be MC of a special "Prep Rally" in the park to get the crowd inspired and "up to speed" on the happenings. Anyone planning on attending the Rally At Noon is urged to attend the Prep Rally.
The 13 NYSPRA Speakers begin at NOON. The entire presentation will take about 1 ½ hours. The people will then be asked to "hit the LOB" and lobby ALL the lawmakers. There will be guides to assist you and give advice. Note; we are all participating for the same reasons - Please let them see you face to face. NO gun Insurance - NO Amendments - REPEAL The Safe Act.... We CAN fight "City Hall" and WIN this one. Please "jam the building"...lol (peacefully)
Lobbying Begins at 10am. Consider lobbying before the rally. We will have guides to assist you by 9:30am
More Buses: we are trying to secure more buses to depart from Jamestown / Corning / Elmira / Binghamton / Sidney. If you would like to take a bus from any of those locations - get on Denver's Passenger list. - denver@bsuinc.com
This is a major event and there is lots to keep you abreast of. We will be sending many emails - please carefully read each one. (sorry for so many but please bare with it - thanks.)

Please pass this and all info to every one in the state. This is a very important undertaking of citizens. If we can get ALL New Yorkers to participate with us we might just be able to save our great state.
May God Bless each and every one of us that are stepping up to participate - AND - God Bless AMERICA !
Thank You

Great things and concerns.....
Awesome Job R1SGX2 for doing so much to organize and make this happen.  Great Job SMURF for helping out and recruiting.  Even Josey Wales the NY State coordinator was there handing out Appleseed info and recruitting!!    There were thousands of pro second rights supporters there at the rally today and in the State assembly talking in groups and one on one.
Speaking to some of my reps, they have led me to believe that the Judiciary in NY State hold the key at this time to getting this resolved.  They pro-gun legislators simply do not think that they can get 40-60 votes to swing back the other direction given the current political trends and how the state politics work in NY State. If we in Ny state have resources independently, the Judiciary will be key in the months to come.  It was great to see so many Appleseeders making this happen and bailing the ship today!!

Toward that end, a state Supreme Court justice has issued an order requiring New York to show that the NY SAFE Act is constitutional, or else the court will issue an injunction blocking enforcement of its provisions until the underlying case (brought by an attorney in Buffalo) is resolved. The State has until April 29th to respond.

The NYSRPA Rally was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!! The speakers were ALL WONDERFUL!!!! They spoke the truth from their hearts. Thousand of GIVERS and BUILDERS stood shoulder to shoulder on the statehouse green, demanding to be heard!!! I hope that their words were clearly understood.

There were some Appleseed personal that spent a lot of effort to make this event happen and I thank them. The same people have been working, meeting, begging and pleading on our behalf constantly  for the past weeks. Working hand in hand with many fine others to protect us. And needing our help. Needing us to help our neighbors.

This is the first steps of a very long journey that we have to make together.

PLEASE BE ADVISED---the supreme court story is very preliminary, and represents only a very small initial step. We are nowhere near any kind of substantive victory.

Yesterday's rally was the largest rally of ANY kind for ANY cause in the City of Albany that was not attended by union members being paid to attend!

Thanks to so many people who made it work, especially Stickmark- da man!

Let's see; standing on the village green against tyranny to defend our God-given RKBA-check.

Some of feel a lot closer to our beloved brothers from Lexington now. Huzzah!
