Bailing nationally on a local level

I have been at an utter loss for words at the blatant disregard for the Constitution; for the Oaths that were spoken by elected officials to protect and uphold it.

Although we have yet to see how this will unfold on the Federal level, the laws passed in New York State demonstrate that even on the State level, Oaths can be broken swiftly and decisively without debate or due diligence.

Some States are in the process of reasserting the 10th Amendment, preventing any Federally backed gun control from being upheld within their borders.  Missouri and Wyoming lead this charge.

Where does this leave the districts and counties of the remaining States that do not?  According to President Madison - "In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself."

"Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of"

It has been upheld by The Supreme Court in the past that locally elected Sheriffs have Supremacy over Federal and State authorities.

See http://www.newswithviews.com/Stang/alan192.htm for more information.  Another quote from this: "Within that jurisdiction - inside his county - the sheriff has more power than the governor of his state."

In concert with the conversations/letters/calls to our Reps on the Fed and State level, we should be having conversations with our local Sheriffs as well.

Check out http://www.sheriffmack.com/ for a good video on how the Albany, NY Deputy upholds his Oath.

Peace to all, V

Texas has joined the charge....  Sheriffs from Oregon and Kentucky have publicly declared they will not enforce unconstitutional laws.
