The morning started off cold and sunny as we were prepared to greet 23 shooters to the line Saturday.  However, as we laid down to engage our first Red Coat of the weekend we had 39 eager students!

Our first AQT on Saturday welcomed our first Rifleman and they kept on coming.  We welcomed 5 new Riflemen and a Riflewoman in all!  Congratulations to Roxanne (232), Greg (219), Ross (211), John (212), Casey (233) and Peter (218).  To add to that number we had five Rifleman requalify. 

To make the weekend even more exciting we had several among us who knew very much what they were about and joined the ranks as Orange Hats: Roxy, Fox4 and southseasnurse. Huzzah!

Many thanks to all of the instructors that made this weekend a success: Pain Killer, Lawrence, Jules_H, KARDIAK KID, Goliath, Bob Owens, Grathlong, M1NC, Sadman, cdavidhord, iron pony, Bothbasher, CplTurner, The Beard, hawkeye, DAR-Patriot.

Finally, thank you to all of the participants for coming out this weekend.  It was our honor to be here and not only teach you about marksmanship but about our heritage and the traditions of our Founding Fathers.  Remember to share what you learned and when you attend your next Appleseed bring someone along.

Adena, you did a great job this weekend! Congratulations on your promotion to Shoot Boss. Walter, sorry about the time monkey impersonation (it was the cold medicine). This was an awesome weekend with a great bunch of people. Congratulations to all the new rifleman. Welcome to all the new Orange Hats, I look forward to working with you. Roxy, that was some great shooting you did this weekend! Hope you enjoyed the KD range and the M1 Garrand. Hope to see you all again in January.

Ok, I only have one picture that turned out but I can't think of a better example of POSTERITY in a great many Appleseed events...
