Welcome to boadicea, Kentucky's newest IIT!  I met Emily at her first shoot at Knob Creek on Patriot's Day weekend 2012 where she shot a Rifleman score.  She took her orange hat at Carrollton, KY last weekend.  I know she will be a great asset to the Mission.  Please welcome her aboard.

We also have a new blue hat, Slugger 05.  I met Kris at Carrollton last weekend where he attended his first Appleseed.  He has made it clear that the blue hat is just temporary until he shoots a Rifleman score!  I believe that he too will prove to be a great asset to Appleseed.  Please welcome him aboard.  This is the best I can do at the moment for a picture. (Slugger 05 is seated in the foreground with his back to the camera). I'm sure we will have a better one in the near future!

For Liberty, each Freeman Strives
As its a Gift of God
And for it willing yield their Lives
And Seal it with their Blood

Thrice happy they who thus resign
Into the peacefull Grave
Much better there, in Death Confin'd
Than a Surviving Slave

This Motto may adorn their Tombs,
(Let tyrants come and view)
"We rather seek these silent Rooms
Than live as Slaves to You"

Lemuel Haynes, 1775

Criticism is the only known antidote to error.  David Brin

What a nation has done, a nation can aspire to.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

Remember only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: JESUS CHRIST and the AMERICAN ARMED FORCES.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom-Unk

Congratulations boadicea and Slugger 05!
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." — George Washington

"Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." --Mark Twain (1835-1910)

"A constitution is not the act of a government, but of a people constituting a government; and government without a constitution is power without a right. All power exercised over a nation, must have some beginning. It must be either delegated, or assumed. There are not other sources. All delegated power is trust, and all assumed power is usurpation. Time does not alter the nature and quality of either." ~ Thomas Paine
