Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair ( Grange Fair) - Centre Hall - Yearly - August - Even the size of the Fair has grown to include 950 tents, 1300 RV's, hundreds of concessions, over 7,000 exhibit items (these numbers DO NOT INCLUDE daily visitors!!!)

Noteable: it's grown into a real family tradition with some campers going back generation after generation. Tent sites are passed down to family members as prized possessions.

Ag Progress Days (APD) at Penn State - Rock Springs, nine miles southwest of State College, PA. - held annually - during three days in August - With over 400 exhibitors from 31 states and 4 provinces of Canada....45,000 expected attendees - http://agsci.psu.edu/apd

Noteable: 80+ acres for crops and machinery demonstrations, 55 acres for indoor and outdoor exhibits, 35 acres for parking, The 2011 show had a record number of 450 exhibitors and 42,000 visitors.

Noteable: The village claims to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. Each year Boalsburg puts on a traditional Memorial Day celebration complete with a parade, a community walk to the cemetery, speeches, arts and crafts sale, military reenactments and much more.

Boalsburg To Celebrate Their Special Link with the Declaration of Independence:

Boalsburg, PA) -  On Sunday, July 1, Boalsburg will celebrate their special connection with the Declaration of Independence with refreshments and a host of free activities, including a reading of the Declaration, a butterfly garden tour by  Penn State Master Gardeners, a 18th century style salon discussion of the Declaration of Independence and a free tour of the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum.

Richard Henry Lee, who signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, is an ancestor of the Boal family and his portrait (photo on right) and original signature will be on display during the afternoon. In June 1776, Lee offered the resolution for independence in Congress that became the Declaration of Independence which he signed in July.
 Reading the Declaration will be three Penn State University professors, a French citizen and Christopher Lee, a descendant of Richard Henry Lee and CEO of the Boal Mansion Museum.
