Plan on attending my first appleseed this year, will probably on be attending the Sat. part of the event, was wondering if its possible to start trying to  earn your rifleman in one day, or due to the lay out of the class if you have to be there sunday to start trying to qualify on sunday? thanks

You get the patch by shooting a 210 out of a possible 250 on the Army Qualification Test.  Depending on how things move along during the Saturday portion you may or may not get to an AQT on Saturday.  I am in Southern Indiana and have worked with several of the Kentucky Shoot Bosses and many do get to an AQT on Saturday.  So you will probably get at least one shot at the patch on Saturday.

Now, nothing you can do before you get to the shoot can help you earn a patch, but there are many things you can do to help become a Rifleman.
