Unbridled Liberty

This is pretty cool and is a great way to 7th Step when you go to the polls in a few weeks, and also in November.

"Beginning with the 2007 Kentucky Primary Election, the Office of the Secretary of State announced that Kentuckians will be joining other states in honoring our nation's veterans with votes specifically cast in their honor.  Veterans, both past and present, represent the continual fight to preserve our freedoms.  However, our right to these freedoms also carries the responsibility to use them by engaging in the democratic process.

There is no better way to honor the sacrifices of veterans than by wearing a button in honor of them on Election Day."

I ordered my button this morning, in honor of Capt. Isaac Davis:

Update 5/3/12:  I just got my button in the mail.

For Liberty, each Freeman Strives
As its a Gift of God
And for it willing yield their Lives
And Seal it with their Blood

Thrice happy they who thus resign
Into the peacefull Grave
Much better there, in Death Confin'd
Than a Surviving Slave

This Motto may adorn their Tombs,
(Let tyrants come and view)
"We rather seek these silent Rooms
Than live as Slaves to You"

Lemuel Haynes, 1775
