Just a note about our mini shoot here in Indiana.

We have been having the shoots the last Sunday of the month since May. We have been averaging around 17 to 20 shooters.

We had a family drive over 100 miles to attend and they were glad they came. They told us afterwards they enjoyed it and learned a few things as well. We sent them home with new information, some targets, and hopefully some new building blocks to help them along the way.

We were able to separate the line and work with the new ones and have some of the regulars work on honing their skills. For instance the newbies may have been shooting 5 rd sighters while the others would be shooting stage one of the AQT. This worked well and we hope to continue this because the ? veteran? shooters want to work on new things.

Course of fire was a classification AQT followed by a QDAQT followed by a 20 classification AQT. Then we practiced some timed drills, and shot some of the small Boer targets.

Rumor has it even one of the instructors squeezed a little trigger time in because he needed it. Grin He sure didn?t want to show up a boot camp without his rifles zeroed not that they weren?t but its better to confirm it before you show up. One doesn?t want to loose his red hat.  Grin Cry

Tom2 and Patriot Papa worked the line and done a great job as usual.

We think we have a sustainable program going here but we would like to see it grow in the next months. Maybe the cool fall weather will bring the fair weather shooters out.

Got to go now heading for boot camp in the morning..... Grin Grin

17 to 20 shooters is a pretty decent turnout. Heck, that's reaching the level, almost, of some of the smaller Appleseeds on the nationwide Tour.

You Indiana guys are the lighthouse, the beacon, for the rest of us. Showing it can be done.

     Thanks.
