Kentucky's legislative session is coming up, it starts January 3rd, for 60 days.   That is it, just 60 days worth of legislation for the entire year.   So that means that if you wish to exercise influence over your elected representative, you need to be ready to go after the first of the year.

Kentucky's legislative sessions go quick, with lots of action, especially toward the end of the session.

With all the issues which will be addressed, it is really important to be connected to an organization which is active at the capitol, and has members there interacting with the representatives.   These organizations often have systems of email and even phone alerts, to let their members know what issues are being heard or voted on and when.   This allows you to be able to contact your representatives in a timely manner to express your desires.

This is "rubber to the road" Rifleman activity.

In Kentucky, this is only a 60 day window, then our influence as owners is limited.

Here are some of the organizations which I subscribe to.   Your interests may be different, so seek out those that represent your interests.

Just in an effort to help motivate you.   A friend of mine is a House Representative in Frankfort.   He has told me that if they get just 12 letters/calls on a specific issue, that is likely the biggest issue they have going, perhaps in the career of the Rep.   They just don't get input from the voters like they should.

A few motivated Riflemen, working in conjunction with an org who is in the capitol and watching the legislation, can have some significant influence over the course of this next legislative session.

Do keep in mind, that while the legislative session is going on, these organizations are very busy, but after the session, they have more free time.   With that, they are ALWAYS looking for ways to get the word out about their organizations and seeking to help educate the people of Kentucky about the issues they are interested in.   This may be a good time to approach them to help promote Appleseeds in the state, in an effort to elevate the number of woken up and active citizen owners in this state.
