Wow..our first (and last) Winterseed shoot of 2011 was, well...wintery! Mid-30 temps, windy and LOTS of rain and lightning...it was challenging. But, Riflemen improvise, adapt and overcome, right? And we did...

Seven hardy souls drove in from Topeka, Wichita and even Fort Leavenworth to shoot with us and learn the heritage of April 19, 1775. No Riflemen this time around, but keep practicing folks, and come out next time!

Thanks again to Bonnie and Audie at Christian Hills Camp for their hospitality (and warm building for instruction/lunch)!

I was watching the radar after we got dumped on with LIGHTNING!! I knew you were going to get hammered!! then it just got cold! Everyone looks suitably muddy! ;D

It was fun!  ::)  I was really proud of the young-uns...Abigail and Grace...didn't hear them complain once.

Young women....
Dude, get a clue! Young female shooters are there to shoot, they are there to learn, they are there with few bad habits and few preconceptions. There is a reason that most of the survivors of the Donner Pass party were female. Give me a line full of young women any day!! ;D

If they show up at an Appleseed; YOU BET! I have found that athletic young folks are less cranky getting into new shooting positions than older less athletic folks. ;D
