We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Saturday saw beautiful fall weather, and 11 shooters on the line. ALL students were clearly there to learn, and learn they did! All students were attentive, mindful of safety, and made every effort to put into practice, what they were learning.
The day ended, with 2 shooters earning their Rifleman designation, which is a bit unusual for a Saturday. Included among them, was Missy, an enthusiastic adult FIRST TIME shooter. There were 4-6 other shooters who ended Saturday, knocking on the door with scores in the 200-209 range...

Sunday, saw another picture perfect fall day, with 8 shooters returning to the line. Sunday ended with FOUR MORE shooters earning their Rifleman designation, many multiple times over. Amongst the Sunday students, was Missy's adult son Chris, another first time shooter! Chris made Rifleman EVERY AQT that he shot on Sunday, with a high scores of 226 & 228! All of the others who made Rifleman, did so as first timers, at an Appleseed.. If anyone ever had any doubt that this course of instruction, didn't work... these results should put those thoughts to rest.

I would like to thank ALL the shooters for their diligence, hard work, and persistence. I would like to thank Patent Guy, for his personal attention, instruction skill and especially his coaching of the new shooters. Thank you for AAFG for hosting Appleseed with open arms, for the last 18 months. Finally, thank you to Fred.. for Appleseed..   BeSwift

Well done, BeSwift!  Congrats to all the RIFLEMEN!

Thank you BeSwift!  This weekend we made some new friends and it was very satisfying to see just how willing Appleseeders (new and old(ish)) are to listen, question and then apply the 6 steps and the Steady hold factors.  Everybody worked and everybody improved.  Even those who have not (yet) earned the coveted Rifleman patch left with the foundation for useful action and a plan, and I think that we will see more than a few of these folks again.  Also, the 3 strikes, DOM, and discussions on active citizenship were lively and engaging.  This was a great group!
