Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

7 hearty folks came out and braved the wind, rain and occasional torrential downpours to learn the fundamantals fo Rifle marksmanship and the history of April 19, 1775.

Congratulations to Sean for earning his second Rifleman patch.

We had several other shooters in the high 190's and low 200's who are oh so close to that patch ;)
Practice, Practice, Practice!

Shane and Curt took advantage of the KD shooting to 'ring' the steel AQT target that we set out at 300 yards.  While the range has a 1,000yd target line, a 4wd vehicle is required to get out there.  Chainsaw was able to get his car out to the 300yd line so that's where we set up the target.

Those of us on the 25m firing line heard Curt repeatedly ringing the steel with his Garand.  Shane hit the steel as well, but the 5.56 doesn't quite ring the steel as authoritatively as the 7.62.

Many thanks to Curt for bringing his Brown Bess ad PA Long Rifle on Sunday to show all those pieces of history!
Here are a few pictures form the shoot
"fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen." [Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981)]

Chainsaw

We HAVE to figure out a way to take full advantage of this range!  What a great facility and great people.

Everyone did a tremendous job, excellent improvement, if we had ten more points to spread out among the group we would have had five patches awarded instead of one, everyone was that close.

All the best,

-Tom

PS  Yes, I did get home, yes, I did have to have the wife drive me back down the next day, yes the tow was more $ than the repair.
