Handgun, Long Gun Training & Competition Charity Shooting

When: Aug 9th (handgun), 10th (long gun) & 11th (handgun & long gun competitions)

All range times begin at 8am daily. Come one day, two days or all three days!
...Why: Warrior SOS is helping a 41-year old, two-time Iraqi war veteran who has terminal brain cancer. All proceeds will go to him, and his surviving wife and six young children.

Where: Morgan County Rifle Range

Across from 865 E. Mahogany Ridge Rd, Morgan, Utah 84050

Course Description:
Day one and two training emphasize tactical fundamentals necessary to win lethal confrontations, and offer a variety of tactical training scenarios. Day three competition offers an opportunity to run a variety of challenging, fun courses of fire. Winner gets bragging rights and helps support our cause.

Prerequisites:

Open to all safe, law abiding citizens.

Topics:
• Firearms safe operation and control

• Primary foundation weapons skills
• Multiple positions/target engagement

• 360-degree movement

• Reloading and malfunction drills

Ammunition:

Day one - handgun (400)

Day two - long gun (400)

Day three - whatever you'll need; you can run as many times as time permits

Required Equipment:

Long gun/Carbine w/ 3-4 magazines (mag pouch)

Handgun, holster 2-3 magazines (5 single stack mags) (mag pouch)

Handgun holster must be strong side draw only

Baseball style hat, Wrap around eye protection, Ear protection

Water bottle, Rain gear and/or sunscreen

Knee pads, elbow pads optional (there will be some ground movement)

Cost: Donations for training: only $100 daily. Competition: $50 entry, $100 for all day - cash, check or money order only. Make checks out to Warrior SOS.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jeffrey Denning is a former SWAT team leader, Iraqi war vet, Diplomatic Security specialist in Israel/Palestine, Federal Air Marshal, and subject matter expert for a classified contract with a US government customer. He has won multiple Top Gun shooting awards, and recently began writing for Guns.com. He works as a full time firearms instructor at a nuclear power plant and is the founder of the nonprofit organization Warrior SOS, Inc.
