Nevadas part in Alaskas 1st appleseed
« on: August 02, 2011, 03:30:37 PM »
Long ago at shooting range far far away......
a place called Clark County Shooting Park  Las Vegas Nv. :~

An appleseed was planted,
A tree sprouted,
An grew,
and a new sapling took root,

That tree traveled home to Alaska,
That tree spread its own branches,
And has now beared its own fruit,
And an orchard will grow..........
for this I'm sure!

Charlie - Ashley, you were there.....in both cases
for you see you helped me instruct & run that shoot
the shoot that Tom attended
His first appleseed
Tom is Alaska's 1st civilian riflemen.....

You were thought of as Tom joined the ranks
At times things don't get said out loud..that should be..for all to hear
as I see it many instructors & state programs have nurtured Alaska's beginning
and its not possible to have all attend such a grand event

this was your contribution / revel in it

from Tom, LLP and myself, thought you should know

Their part in getting the Vegas valley going is outstanding.  They do a so much that doesn't get mentioned or noticed, but that's what people of character do.  They do the right thing when nobody is watching.

Good point about mentioning it.  I see your point.  Things are pretty good.

It was a pleasure to meet and work with Tom and subsequently watch Alaska join the Appleseed family.

Big smiles from the Las Vegas crew because of the small role we had in this.

Tom was so excited after the event, he requested that we ship him an Appleseed care package to kick off his marketing efforts. A box of Tri-folds and a CD with Appleseed PDF's later  he was on his way.

Many people worked to pull this event off, and it was our pleasure to bail beside them.

The recognition is appreciated, since as you know normally...

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

We talk to many out of state folks at Gun shows and suspect that they show up at events elsewhere.

We got a country to save, not just Sin City.
