We had a great shoot at the Dagley homestead on Friday.  I arrived Thursday afternoon and set up the target line against a steep hillside, and found some helpers to clear away the rocks that threatened to cause some ricochets.  There was a little bit of rain before the shoot, but one of the IIT's brought a large semi tarp to cover the ground in front of the targets and the hosts had another couple tarps to cover the firing line.

There were 22 shooters, but during lunch break I had the opportunity to tell the 1st Strike to all the families of the attendees who were gathered at the house.  It definitely helped to use a wireless headset microphone!

Since it was only a one day shoot, we had to cram a lot of information into a short amount of time, but it seemed like everyone absorbed a lot of it and was having a good time.  Congratulations, Nathan, for earning your Rifleman patch!  And all the young people, keep up the good shooting.  Perseverance pays off.

Thanks also to Andrew B. and Chris S for helping out with the instruction, setup, and teardown. Here's some pictures:
