We had a great Appleseed event this weekend with an almost full line and a lot of energetic and interested people.  The weather was great Saturday; sunny and warm, Sunday was a little rainy in the morning but cleared up by lunch.  We probably would have had a few more on the line if the weather that came through earlier the previous week had been lighter (tornadoes).

We followed (for the most part) the new COF that's in the new instructor's manual and it went pretty well.  The first Redcoat was about average as far as hits and the instruction brought the number of hits way up.

We had several knocking at the rifleman door  :wb: with 200+; Martin had a 207 but his back wouldn't let him return Sunday.  Next time, Martin!  Saturday Ardee made rifleman for the second time and asked to take his orange hat and immediately began to help the line.  Sunday brought more closer to 210 and two young men earned their patch  ^:)^ using the same rifle.

For all those who were close to earning their rifleman patch, please come back as soon as you can.  Do a lot of dryfire practice, practice getting and shifting NPOA and practice getting the transitions to sitting and prone down quick.  Watch those muzzles!  We'll make riflemen (and women) out of you!

Congratulations go to Ardee, Will & Cody for making Rifleman and Ardee and Will for accepting those orange hats.  I look forward to working the line with you both.  I also want to thank Doyle (I'm sorry, I forgot your last name) and Fred Fedderson for accepting the blue hats of Apple Core.  We can use all the help we can get.
