Well, we had all of our pre-registrants reschedule to June.  June in MS?  What were they thinking?  Yesterday saw a cloudy, windy day with the temps in the 50's.  Cordt, Matthew, Sandy and Ann walked on for some serious heritage and marksmanship instruction.  Armalite and Hornet41 were present to help them learn.  And learn they did!  The ladies were some serious troopers!  Sunday saw Cordt and Matthew return to hone their skills on the anvil of the AQT.  Pete also showed up, trying to figure out how he can get an orange hat at 11  (Ha, ha, December will be here soon!)  Anyway, a good time had by all and much improvement made by all!  We didn't make any riflemen with these first time 'seeders but we added 100 points to their scores!  We saw Cordt hit a 184 with Matthew chasing him with a 163.  Fine job, folks!  I also want to thank the orange hats for a fine performance!  Without their help, I might have had to actually work!  And now for some pics!  Find the pic where Mr. Tom joined us!  He must have been looking for the hen that was on the berm on Saturday.
Ignorance may be bliss, but it's not a virtue.

Well, what can one say?? Appleseed in Como and no mud or rain!!!! What a joy!! Saturday the wind kept all the training aids hidden under the shooting bench's to keep them from blowing away but Sunday was a pure joy, slight breeze and nice and warm. Although only four shooters showed up, a great learning experience was had by all. Scores improved through the weekend as the building blocks fell into place!!
The two ladies, Sandy and Ann showed true grit and although they couldn't attend Sunday they really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. Cordt and Matthew made steady progress through the weekend. Cordt is knocking on the door!! Should make Rifleman at his next 'Seed!! Matthew stayed the course and while fighting some sighting problems had steady improvement. Both were determined and didn't let the AQT grind beat them!! The instructors were able to lavish a lot of individual attention with the low turn out. Not a bad thing!!!
Pete showed up Sunday and reminded all what energy level an 11 year old has! Gee--if only!
Armalite blew us away with his History!! Great job!!
Saturday a turkey peeped over the berm to see what all the noise was about and again showed up on Sunday. Unusual to say the least!
Hornet41 :)

Great group of attendees. Very attentive and safe. Hornet41 kept the line hopping all weekend with lots of drills and AQT's. Eb doesn't believe in wasted minutes and kept things moving thru lunch. Ann and Sandy you are a true inspiration and would enjoy working with you anytime. I consider you both Brave Women in the highest regard. Cordt and Matthew you two have made great progress and are right there knocking on the door. Both of you have improved over 100 points each in a couple days and both of you have the scores in each stage to make rifleman. Keep up the good work and put it all together. Remember A Rifleman Persists. Hope to work with all of you again real soon.

Wow, that does not look like Como at all.  There is NO MUD.
