It was a good day for staying off the roads, inside, with hands wrapped around a hot mug.
Three scoutmasters of six who agreed to come made it to the range.
We gave a saftey breifing, talked of powder raids, got through the first, and second strikes,  then another saftey breifing shot first redcoat around 10:15 am
The history first schedule was in hopes that the rising sun would warm things up some.
I held my hand to my forhead in a attempt to make the icecream headache go away during the fireing of the redcoat target.
The temp was around 1 degree with a steady breeze blowing 15 MPH or so. The range is "exposed" sitting on a high hill.
Fresh snow had fallen overnight, hard to gauge the depth of snow fall because the wind was busy wearing the snow out
Ole clod declared it was cold enough to issue winterseed patches.
Irv, the range manager was shooting standing and sitting only because his head would not go into a position he could see the sights in prone.
Steve had many magazine problems but still endured frozen fingers with a smile.
Walt was pretty solid, probably could have shot the coveted 210 if I had just left him alone. but he was trying to put the information delivered into use, I expect walt to make rifleman next shoot if he just devotes a little time for drifire.
Gremlin still working on earning the badge you are just a correct sight adjustment away from being a rifleman. the groupes are good enough.
Thankyou MTCrusader for comming out and helping
