The Texas crew went down to Pharr, and had a great time as usual!

Thanks to the other instructors, Scout, BDG, Dragit, and Keepmvng for making the inaugural Pharr shoot a smooth one.  BDG did a LOT of work in pulling this new location together!

We had a great group of shooters who braved gusty winds coming over the berm on Saturday, and the heat and humidity on Sunday.  We had some that were "knocking on the 210 door", and one 209 AQT.

My usual clickable-thumbnail gallery page is here:

I'm sure there will be more (and better) pix coming along shortly, as BDG had a fancy camera there.

Thanks Zonk. For my part, I'll link the photos I took over the course of the weekend, which can be viewed here:

Stay tuned for more.

A moral compass provides a basis for making decisions; an action is good or bad, right or wrong when viewed in the light of the individual's moral bearing. If no moral compass exists for the individual, then decisions and actions are made on the basis of purely subjective thoughts. This leads to "If it makes me happy, or makes me feel good, or if it's something I simply want to do, then it is right and good."

Ten hours in a vehicle goes by quickly with Scout, zonkertx, and Keepmvg.

Seems like it has been a while since I sweated at an AS.

No sleep night drives make your eyes gummy.

Working with the youngsters Leo and Jessi was a pleasure since hitting an 8.5x11 sheet of paper and getting youth patches made them smile and they persisted without complaint for two full days.

Another great shoot.

Black powder rifle plinking on Sunday was icing on the cake.

Thanks BDG and we will see you again.

I've just gotten home from the monthly club meeting and have received approval to have the April 16-17 shoot again here. I'm forwarding to POP to submit for calendar scheduling. With this much time, I know we'll max the range. Additional members also expressed interest in a future AS.

Looks like I forgot to take the gallery out of maintenance mode. Oops. Pics are viewable again.

Leo, Judy, and I are already signed up for the April 16,17 Appleseed in Pharr.  Got Tech sites for Leo, and got Judy a 10/22 and Tech sites; she won't have to get beat on by the .308 next time.  Have recruited a couple of father/son possibles for next time already.  Greg

Thank you for promoting Appleseed Greg.  You will enjoy the April shoot.
