What a weekend! First a BIG thanks to Racine County Line Rifle Club.

It started out cold and windy saturday morning but all 10 pre-regs braved the weather and showed up ready to learn.un
All but two made it through the chilly day. Sunday morning was a little damp but warmt ter and 11 shooters wanted more.
At the end of the weekend we had...
3 persevering posterity.
3 Riflemen. Tom, Nate, Steve. Congratulations all! :--- :---
And last but not least one proud new owner of his very own orange hat, Dave... Super Dave... Super Dave in 3D! O0 Well Earned Dave.

Another very successful weekend for liberty in America. ^:)^
The past is only the future with the lights on.

Congratulations to the 3 new Riflemen .
As I recall the Racine venue (beautiful) overlooking Lake Michigan could qualify for a winte O0eed almost any time of year  **)
Welcome aboard Super Dave 3D

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

Thank you!

Happy that I could make it out myself on Sunday!  I couldn't make it for Saturday, but a friend of mine was there for both days using my rifle.  He brought a friend of his and his friend's father.  Was really happy to see that.  All leads to 1000!   O0

Hi,

It's me (Vic). I was Big Kahunna, but I changed my name cause BK just didn't fit.  Anyway, I was a last minute decision to go.  I have been to (3) AS as a student/shooter and (1) as a "working" RCLRC member (didn't shoot). I didn't have anyone to bring this time, they were all deer hunting or working. 1st AS (May 2010) I brought my daughter (Jessica), 2nd AS (Oct 2010) I brought my granddaughter (Haley). So I decided I would just go by myself and really concentrate on making Rifleman this time. Since Oct. AS I went to Fred's website and bought the shooting jacket along with the Rifleman's guide and some targets.  I haven't practiced with the targets yet, but I studied the guide and used the jacket this last AS shoot.  I must say the jacket helped me more than I thought as did the guide.  It was much more comfortable with built in padding and really nice not having the sling slide down my arm (since I cinched up the sling above the pulse pad). :)

I was a little disappointed because I didn't make rifleman,  :(  but I did improve allot. :)  My 1st AS, I shot 140-160 range. 2nd AS, 170-180 range. This time I shot 190-205 range. I was one round from making rifleman. But I'm not giving up, I'm knocking on the door now - so very close! I'm not really sure why I want that patch so bad. I guess because it's a challenge and I know in my heart I can do this and I don't want to be just a cook.  I will be back and I hope to bring more people with me next time. I have some intrest from my Son-In-Law and my neighbor across the street. I will work on them for next time. Thanks to all the instructors for all that you do, and thanks for being the Great Americans you are.  Ahhshoot you really do a great job, it was very touching when you were trying to hold back tears during the first strike story. It just means so much more when you let that emotion from your heart show. After that story, I felt as if I would march into battle with you anytime anywhere!  Makes me really start to get the feeling of what it must have been like in 1775 and the courageous men who gave their lives for us. Great Job! You really do inspire me!

I really do believe in the RWVA/Appleseed cause and always feel so very good about America after an AS Shoot. Gives me hope and pride.  Like Arnold said "I will be back!" but I will bring others too. :~
Congrats to Tom, Nate and Steve! ^:)^ And Congrats to Super Dave, rally nice seeing you again. Especially in a Orange hat! ;)
PS. sorry about the long post ++)

AFTERMATH

Huzza!

Congratulations Riflemen!  And thank you, Super Dave(in 3D O0) >> No sense in knowing how to shoot, if no one else does!

And to Vic; it sounds as though you're kicking on the door!

Tip:  Don't knock too long; as it'll hurt your hand.   Knock three times, and if that doesn't work; break that rusty door down!
       Try it!  It works, really!

See you on the Trail!

Hi guys,
I'm really sorry, you guys were great instructors, I plan to train through the winter after we move from the tyranny of Illinois to Minnesota.  Merissa and myself didn't dress warm enough for Saturday, and we ended up at home with moderate hypothermia, we both shivered through the night and morning with numbness in our arms and legs, and had some difficulty moving.   Let that be a lesson for some, 8 hours at 39 degrees is NOT light Jacket weather.  Thanks for hosting the Appleseed, and we will go to the next available one in Minnesota.

When can we see some of the pics that were taken?
