Beautiful weather and great shooters!  What more can an instructor ask for?

I was a little worried that we only had 7 preregs as I drove up to IA on Friday, but Saturday morning arrived and people kept showing up!  We ended up with 18 shooters on the line which was great.  Special thanks to Tiffany for helping with line clearing duties on Saturday, and congrats on re-shooting Rifleman with your own rifle!  Enjoy your purple patch!

I would also like to thank Don and Karen for once again inviting us on their property and being such great hosts.  They took very good care of us, and especially good care of me personally, and I appreciate it greatly.

It was nice to see several return Appleseeders on the line, but even better was seeing all the people they brought WITH them.  Excellent 7th stepping!

It was a pleasure to work with some of the great people in IA.  I look forward to seeing all of you on the line again (and the people you bring with you)!

What more could an instructor ask for?  Nothing I can think of.

The wind presented just enough suprises to keep things lively.  The shooters from youngest to most seasoned were attentive and enthusiastic.

Special thanks to: Don & Karen, our hosts, both for inviting us this weekend and for inviting us back anytime; Greg for sacrificing another weekend to come and Shoot Boss this AS on short notice; and Tiffany for stepping up and doing great service as an Instructor. (Aren't we lucky that the Orange Hat is a perfect accessory to ANY outfit ;D?)

Looking forward to being back in Shenandoah soon.

P.S.  any of you who attended and are looking for additional time on the line might want to check out  the Lincoln, NE AS Nov 20-21.  I looked at my map and it seems Lincoln is only an inch or two from SW Iowa. Who knew?  Really it's not that far and would be great to fill the line with "experienced" Hawkeye 'Seeders.  Make plans now to go and take a friend.

What a great weekend!  Thank you to Don and Karen for hosting this event.  We had great weather, a little windy at times, but not bad at all.  I was happy to see how many we had on Saturday since only 7 where pre-registered.  Greg told me he may need me to wear the orange hat for the day instead of shooting.  I was happy to help so that those who hadn't been there before had the opportunity to shoot as much as possible.  Two instructors for 18 might have been a little challenging.  Sunday I was able to shoot and finally scored Rifleman with my own rifle.  Yay!  Thanks for the purple patch Greg.  Thank you also for the continued help and advice that you gave.  I brought my dad this weekend and he had a blast!  He's pretty sore, but he was so glad that he had the opportunity to come and learn about the different positions and the great history.  I thought you did a great job doing the history Greg.  Vic, orange does go with anything, especially my purple Lady Seed shirt!   :)  Until next time, keep shooting!
