Which has greater value?...... Ammo will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no ammo..

A big THANK YOU to Gopher Boy, Pappy, The Guy, and anyone else that I am forgetting.  Thanks for such a safe and fun weekend learning US heritage.  I look forward to the Sept 2011 Appleseed.

On a side note, I think I am going to join ASC now.  I keep going down there for events so I might as well make it my home club.

The Guy

Great!  We love it when the shooters support the ranges that suport us!

Gopher Boy, Pappy, et al, I'm looking forward to some pics.

And, Houston, ditto Guy.  If only one range ever deserved our support it would be ASC.
Thank you for supporting them.

I can explain it to you but, I cannot understand it for you.

I'll keep my faith, my family, my church, my liberty, my property, my money...oh, and my guns. You can keep the CHAINS. (Triskele)

My very first Appleseed shoot made a very lasting impression on me. I grew up knowing just how to pick up my rifle , point and shoot. The weekend at Waterman was well attended and the instructors were very helpful and informative. Safety was a big issue and I appreciated M1D and Mountainman for always checking my AQT scores and checking if I was doing the right positions to find the elusive NPOA.

I did not grow up here in the USA and I am a little ashamed to say that I do not know so much about it's rich history. The Appleseed presentation of the battles in Lexington and Concord has stirred my heart that I have vowed to delve into the country's past to get to know my adoptive country better. I love America (and I believe that Illinois does not suck) and have come to love it's people as well.

The skills I have learned have challenged me even after the hours that I came home and with sore muscles the next day, practiced "dry-firing" with the inch-sized targets taped to my wall. I decided to go to the next Appleseed shoot to test my persistence.

Going with my friends from work was a lot of fun. A little friendly competition is all it takes to strive for the Rifleman patch...esp the purple one...

Thanks Gopher Boy for your dedication. I hope your family have not disowned you yet. Thanks for loaning your shooting mats.

Thanks Pappy for showing me how to smoothly transition from standing to sitting position. Saved me those precious seconds.

Thanks Eel for suggesting the modification on the bolt release to make it work smoothly and efficiently.

And, of course, the Guy... for your stories...Very intense...

That was a very rewarding experience and I cannot wait to bring (drag) my family, friends and neighbors to any Appleseed shoot in our area. Thanks for all that you do.
God bless America...My home sweet home!
