The ][rishman

AAR Eureka KS Sept 11-12 2010

Instructors:  The ][rishman, 4bfox

IITs: gpbbiker, ksuguy, jollybfd, Bluejacket

We had a good group of shooters this weekend as they all came with teachable attitudes.  Everyone showed improvement.

There were two 8 year old boys on the line, and let me tell you I was impressed with them.  They were very mature about the safety rules and making sure they were doing things correctly.  One of them was my son Ethan, and he suprised me by staying on task and shot right up until the end of the day.  Yosiah, our other young shooter, hung in there for two days and did not want to leave.  He said, " I don't want to go, I love it here!"  He was visibly upset about having to leave.  Thank you, Yosiah, for your energy and enthusiasm.  We loved having you there.

We did have one person qualify for Rifleman on Sunday during the first timed AQT.  Congratulations Harry (caveatimptor).  He shot a 225.  Now, I thought maybe Fred had sent a ringer to check up on us.  He knew the four safety rules and was asking about NPOA be fore the rest of the group was ready.  It was obvious he had done a little shooting before.  The USMC shooting Jacket was also a give away.  What most of you do not know is Harry just had a major surgery the week before!  Think about that, he still had stitches across his midsection.  That should take away some excuses, right?
Harry also volunteered to take an Orange Hat.  Let me tell you that DOM has a few things to teach us.

We had several other shooters come very close Gary and Pat shot just above 200. ( so frustrating, I know, I was there once )

I am so proud of the instructors we have here in KS.  You guys are professional and fun at the same time.  But it is bikers moment.

Congratulations to gpbbiker.  He is now a RH.  Well done, sir.  It is a pleasure to serve with you.

Everyone feel free to post pics and share your stories here.  And thank you all for a wonderful weekend.
