The ][rishman

I had a great weekend.

It was a pleasure to work with all the Instructors who came out for the RBC ans well as the AS shoot on the weekend.  We had four new Appleseeders come out and a few who were returning.

Our new shooters did great.  All getting into the 180-190s.  Even in spite of the heat.  We had one shooter, who could not get into prone, shoot stage 2,3,and 4 from kneeling.  His high score for the day was 187.  Hilary, if you see this, you are a DOM indeed.

Congratulations to Ray who shot Rifleman score.  Thanks for all the ice!

Thank you to the instructors who worked so hard to make this week great:
Guy, Dinky, biker, fox, Scarecrow, POP, Dalesp, Bluejacket, KSUGUY, Jason Cook (who accepted the Orange Hat) Greg in MO, Cookie Lady.

Ghostrider and his lovely Rifleman wife Connie,  y'all were an inspiration not just as shooters but as an example of what a Rifleman should be.

A very special thanks to Flint Hills Family Camp.

And to 4bfox, your hard work and persistence paid off and the RBC was a success.   Thank you for all you do.

I know I forgot someone or something.  Please post you pics when you can, and be sure to share your experience.

187 using kneeling on 2,3, and 4 is very impressive.   Given some cooler weather and better conditions, he might have been able to shoot 210+ that way.

Hats off to Jason (Cap'n) Cook for taking up the Orange Hat.  He's a fine young man with a great attitude.
187 from kneeling, magnificent!
A true pleasure to be in company with all attendees, IITs, Instructors, senior level Instructors and children that came during the week.
This was a great experience I will not soon forget.
It was an honor to play a small part in this event.

I hope Richard and Hillary make it back to another event soon.  Hillary, 187!   O0  Keep up the good work.

And Ray, I knew you could do it.  Heck, I knew you would do it.  Congrats!   O0  Tanks for da ice.

And, Connie, what was it ... 220 or 222?   O0  Johnny had a bigger smile on his face than you did, though.  I hope you enjoyed Branson.

And, Cap'n Cook (Jason the birthday boy), more than a pleasure to work with you.  And, keep working on those PCs.  When I get back up there next year I expect to see you in a Red Hat.

][ishman and crew, ya done good over the weekend.    You are 2  8)

To all the instructors and shooters I did not mention because of time here now, my life is richer because of you.
To the town of Eureka, KS, thank you for your hospitality ... a wonderful bright spot in America's heartland.
To Larry and Flint Hills Family Camp, thank you for the range and accommodations.
Finally, to Joy, our morning chef, we couldn't have made it without the morning coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, pastry, hash browns, and friendly conversation.  You made the Rifleman's week start the day right.  (Eat your heart out ... all of you who did not make to the RBC    **) ... maybe next time you will be there.   &)  See what you missed!   ::)

Good night Dinky.  Good night Guy,

Man, I'm sad I wasn't able to finish out the weekend with all you fine RBC folks.  I'm greatful to everyone for your fellowship and insights during the week.  No ifs, ands, or buts, these RBCs are priceless experiences that I hope everyone could have the privilege to go through.  I finally scored Rifleman and am now looking forward to eventually joining the ranks of the Red Hats.
