'V'- PM sent in re: BRS; I guess I'll take point again, P/U Show Vendor materials on Thurs. and set up on Fri. AM, will try to make to late PM for Mr.gg (was there a hitchin' somewhere? LOL!!)

gg- see above, (was there a hitchin' somewhere? if so, congrats!

Generally apparently Lou did not get a Thank You letter or a invite to attend an AS free from the last time. "He says he remembers us from before, but that he's still not sure what we do." featherblue If this assumption is correct, do we (read anyone here) have a suitable decent one (AS Shoot Invite- Guest Status), or a template that he can be personally given at the show?

Should a Thank You Letter be lagging, I guess I'll address this issue at Registration

Desertrat144, thank you for taking care of Thursday registration.

I believe that there will be some California Appleseeders on site Friday, I'll ask them to post their planned schedule.  I'll be there Saturday and Sunday along with NorCal22Gal.  Amended schedule is:

Okay riflemen and riflewomen, this is what we have so far:

Friday (show hours 9 a.m.-6 p.m.): Note:  Line will begin to form before 8am)

? -  4p.m.- desertrat144
4p.m.-6 p.m.- Mr. gglovesguns

Saturday (show hours 9 a.m.-6 p.m.): (Note:  Line will begin to form before 8am)
9 a.m.- 6 p.m. gglovesguns
8am -6pm- NorCal22Gal
8am -6pm- eaglescouter

Sunday (show hours 9 a.m.-3 p.m.):

We still need help staffing the Appleseed table! Especially Friday and Sunday. Please step up, Northern Nevada. Right now, California is doing more for the Big Reno show than we are.

Tom,

Mr. GG asked me to marry him, after getting permission from my mom, dad AND my brother, but here's not been a hitching yet, hahaha. I wanted to buy a Marlin for Appleseed, Mr. GG a Ruger. We can't agree on guns or wedding dates!  ;D

I was planning on buying Lou a thank you card and signing it myself and having people who staffed the table sign it too. You're talking about an official thank you letter. How do we make that happen? Do I just whip something up on my computer or is there a special process to go through? I do want to thank Lou for giving us a free table two years in a row.

Eaglescouter, thanks for posting the updated schedule. It's looking good! I've requested Friday off of work, but we'll see if it gets approved or not. I heard rumors that BaldDragon and JulesFromAppleseed might be coming up from California for the show.

Let me see if I can whip up a thank you certificate from Appleseed, I think my NPOA Boy Scout one can be nicely modified...

Here is a low quality pdf of the certificate, I'll have it printed and ready for signature when I arrive onsite.

Big Reno Gun Show
       - Reno NEVADA -
        August 13-14-15

Where are the folks that are volunteering their time for Appleseed at a donated table?   :-\

One very new Appleseeder in Nevada stepped up and volunteered her time.

One.

Where are the rest of you, Nevada?   &)

NorCal22Gal refused to let the ball drop, and now she and Eagle Scouter are meeting us up there.

Thanks Nevada. I now get to spend the weekend at the Grand Sierra Resort.

If any Seeders out there can lend a hand, please pm me or BD.

Jules

eaglescouter- I couldn't open your file, but thank you for the help.  Will it include a Appleseed Guest Admission Ticket for Lou.  Fred authorized this for the last show, but it must have fallen through the cracks somewhere.  Should I do a Thank You letter also?

To all the folks doing the show, get there early- parking fills quickly, you might consider Valet, but you transit the whole casino.ball room set up.  3/4 mile + of thick pile carpet if you're wheeling things in.

I'll try to get power set up (free), word will be passed on when it happens or ot.  If you're bringing electronics, bring a battery back up.

Yeah, unloading stuff can be a real pain, and there are stairs if you are coming from the parking lot below (there is a hill) the main entrance to the hotel, so wheeling stuff isn't so easy.  The best is to have someone meet you at the hotel entrance, unload you car as if you are checking in, and have him/her watch the stuff while you go and park.

It's good to be set up early because the line to the ballroom forms rapidly.  Everyone wants to get in early and get their stuff.  Don't get discouraged if you are ignored when people are on the way in.  Most people stop on the way out.  Also, lots of people will stop at the end of the show when everyone must leave the ballroom.  They can still hang out in the hallway with us since we will be in a public area.

Whoever is showing up first should have some notes or print outs of correspondence with Lou.  When I was there last time, there was some mess up but we got it straightened out.

We can still use more helpers! The more we have, the more people with whom we can make contact and the easier it will be for us to take breaks, lunches and have gun show browsing time.

Jules

GG,

BD and I will be there this weekend. I am not sure what time we are heading out of Sac, but we are a definite GO for Sat-Sun.

Desert Rat: thank you sir! You are a great help, and I look forward to meeting you.
