Fantastic promo opportunities here as we've not had this sort of media saturation in this part of Ohio.  Great work and tremendous energy and persistence to make this happen!

Last night we had a nice promotional opportunity at the club which hosts our Gibsonburg events.

There have been some recent leadership changes within the club, resulting in some new initiatives and points of focus for the club, and last night's general membership meeting was largely devoted to highlighting these developments.

In that context, we were also asked say a few words about the Appleseed program. The directors had intended to have Posterboy address the meeting, but he's out of town on business so the task fell to me. A two or three- minute description of the program, addressed to over 100 members. I addressed the quality of the marksmanship instruction, the importance of the heritiage, the all-volunteer nature of the RWVA, and the motivation and passion of the instructors, the diversity of those we attract (from soccer-moms all the way to drill seargents, though I didn't put it quite that way), and our rapid growth. It came off well.

Two other people who are getting active in the club's new initiatives, and were publicly so recognized last night, are also active in Appleseed. Being able to point this out to the membership was an extra bonus for our Appleseed PR. (These two are Kate (screenname "Persistence"; IIT) and "Mary", one of our local Riflemenwomen and general promoter of Appleseed.)

PLUS, Butt Stock's mom Lisa was asked to make brief mention of the local newspaper article you've all read about, and to say how valuable the program has been for Butt Stock. The meeting applauded.

After the meeting we got a bunch of flyers distributed, and some items onto a bulletin board. Someone very aptly remarked, "This was a real good meeting for the Appleseed program!"

Posterboy's long efforts with this club are beginning to show some real fruit.
