We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

"My primary objective is to change hearts and minds, for that is where the gaping hole in the hull of the USS America lies. I am looking to make a spark and praying that it will ignite, by their own will, into a bonfire in their hearts and souls."  PHenry

"Folks, this Appleseed thing doesn't work if we get a patch and go home. It doesn't work if we shoot a Rifleman score and remember the good times we had out on the range. It only works if we take that 7th Step and spread the 'seed. HUZZAH!!!"  Slim

April 18-19, 2009  "The seeds of rifle marksmanship were sown in good ground.  In the end, then, every attendee walked away as an instructor for their friends, family, coworkers.  May you tend your patch in Liberty's garden well and through a long life."  Francis Marion

I am going to be attending, and I talked a guy at work in to going to.  Can we gets spots on the line next to each other?

Trisha

Chewbacca, that won't be a problem. If people want to be next to each other at an Appleseed, they usually are. At this Appleseed the firing line is long enough where you won't have to worry about not being able to be by each other.

Great job Chewy!  Keep trying to get more people on the line with you.

I have slings to loan, or slings to buy.  Two green nylon new, and one tan canvas new.  Couple of others that are used and can be had as loaners for the day.  Speak up to reserve one if you need it.

Guess I better also add that they are 1 1/4 inch slings.  I also have 1 1/4 inch swivels that I can loan out to folks who have the studs but not the swivels.

There are still a few openings.  That means you can bring your husband/wife/friends.   8)

Looks like the weather is going to be EXCELLENT! :cool2:

We have some special door prizes at this Patriot's Day event.

I have gotten E-Mails and Phone Calls.  We should have 4-6 Walk-Ons Saturday Morning.
How are things looking for supplies?   Is there anything we are in need of?   What time do you plan to arrive at the range so I can get the gate open early enough this time?
"Today, we need a nation of Riflemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are
willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom."

Most of the coordination is taking place via PM.  Ed and I have exchanged several messages this morning as he has graciously extended his support and that of the Club.

Supplies are good.  Plenty of targets and all that.

I'm bringing the makings of an impromptu firing line in case we exceed the number of shooters that can be accommodated by the club's preexisting backers.

Ed and I will meet at 7 AM; Chris and Mike will join us at 7:30 AM.  I have every intention of putting rounds downrange by 9 AM.  Other details are in PMs.

Weather looks excellent for this time of year.

Let's Roll, Wisconsin!

I just wanted to say, I had a great time, and I learned a lot.  Now that I know what I am doing wrong, I just need to keep on practicing to do it right.  Thanks to all the instructors for their help.

I am going to put a post on another forum about my great experience, and let others know about Appleseed.

Thanks again.

Mogget

Thanks so much for coming, Chewbacca, and many thanks for the kind words.  Looking forward to seeing you again!
