... was a *punishment.*

So, any WV Appleseeder this weekend that wanted to do so, got to have some big-bore fun.  We had one video camera, so we put it where the action was.  It turned into an entertaining little video.  I told everyone that shot the big bore that I'd post the video.  Here you go.  :)

What works at 25, works at 150! (Hey, its West Virginia.  The only way to get a longer distance is to shoot over a mountain.)

If memory serves, there were eight different shooters.  All first-shot hits, with an unfamiliar rifle.  (hmmmm... may have to get me one of those... you know, to study.  Purely academic.)

I bet brickhouse is still giggling.

siglite, thanks for sharing, and for posting that video.

Yep, 8 shooters.  All first-shot hits, with an unfamiliar and fairly intimidating rifle.

How could you possibly deny him the chance to study something so interesting?  Besides that, just think of all the joys and giggles he could be spreading around!

That is one of the really neat things about home (western Greenbrier County).  You can shoot just about anywhere.  Close enough to throw mud back onto you (never did it myself but I have buddies who shoot first and cuss afterwards  ;D) or out to 600 yds. (farthest I used to shoot) or even farther if you want to drive from one mountain top to another.

Once you get it sighted in things really open up....Hey, see that little bush over there with the purple flower hanging down on the end of the left bottom branch.....see that rock up on the side of the ridge in the powerline cut through there by that big tree.....see that locust on the grass stem over there.....see that.......  Targets only limited by your imagination or your ability.

Rock breaking.  The M1A and the FAL makes the little ones "go away" and the AR15 moves them around so you can shoot'em again.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

The only tiring part was lugging that concrete a couple hundred yards uphill.  :P

Apparently, we have "skills"... ;)

Now that we've seen what the receiving end looks like, any chance you can post a pic of the "toy"? I'm still kickin' myself for not getting all those shooters' smiling faces on camera.  ::)

Beautiful...floor!  ;D  You guys did a nice job with that oak!  O0

Oh, back to the "toy"...we need to make some more gravel for that muddy spot by the pond. That means Spanner will definitely have to get one soon to lend a hand. It's all academic...

Hahah.  There might just be something more than coincidence regarding the hardwood floor and the equipment sitting on it.  ^-^
