Just when I didn't think Appleseed could get any better!

An awesome weekend.  15 shooters showed up ready to go on Sat morning.  Chris_H made the drive from Gardnerville and RedOne45, Dan, came out to save our bacon.  Thanks again!!  We conducted the normal COF and saw vast improvements in marksmanship.  Manuel had shot Rifleman with his AR, but wanted to do it with his M1A.  He produced a 220 & 223 on the day's 2 AQT's.  Great shooting :~

Sunday saw 10 shooters ready to get their patches.  After a review we went into the first AQT which produced 2 Riflemen!  Scott shot a 215 with his AR and Dan's daughter Ashley shot a 212 with her 10-22.  After lunch we did more AQT's and Brandon, Dan's friend, shot a 210 on the dot!  I decided that we could get in 1 more AQT if we pushed it and Larry got a 207 and vowed to be back.  Paul and Bill shot more than 1 score above 200, but not quite 210 :(.  They'll be back.  DJ earned a Youth Achievement Award.

Scott and Ashley are interested in the Orange Hat.

Bill Carns came out as well.  He hosts www.2aradio.com and was Head Range Master at Front Sight.  He was my instructor at the 4 Day Defensive Handgun Class last year.  He is a great teacher and a friend of liberty.  He was impressed with the training and is going to talk about it on his show tomorrow, Nov 16, if you can't listen live, the show will be archived to listen later.

Another great weekend of great Americans leaning their heritage of The American Rifleman!

Pics to follow.

Take a moment and remember the kind of man you chose to be when you got yourself out of that last scrape. Maybe you prayed that you would be different if he delivered you. Maybe you found hope here you thought unreachable. Do not concern yourself with anything 'els THAT. Make the mission first.

Having worked with DesertDog many times, I'm sure that the shooters got a good amount of talk about our Heritage.

I caught Bill's webcast show this a.m.  He spent most of the first 30 minutes of the show talking about his experience at this Appleseed.  The show also included quite a bit of time with Funfaler on the phone, too.  Well done!

Very nice job done by our Instructors!! Desert Dog has never failed to impress, and Chris-H is one of the more "solid citizens" I've met on the trail.....

Great job on the training, Heritage, and promotions, all in one shoot!! O0 <:) O0

Now, did you ever get any time to hit up the casinos before you left? **) %)

Well done, guys, you rocked out there!!!

Unfortunately not.  There was a casino at the hotel, but they didn't even have a blackjack table

This certainly was a great Appleseed.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Bill Carns. Like DesertDog, Bill was my instructor at a Front Sight 4-day Def. Handgun class also, but a few years ago.

All of the shooters had great attitudes and everyone improved greatly since Saturday morning.

Dan was a great help both days, & I was really happy that Ashley and Scott asked about the Orange Hat & how one becomes an instructor.

I really enjoy seeing people not only improve, but show an interest in our history.

Thanks for running a great shoot DD and thanks to everyone who made the time to show up!
