The Forgotten Weapons YouTube channel recently posted an interesting presentation by the American Society of Arms Collectors in Boston.

It shows the ballistics and trajectories of the musket balls fired in many of the pivotal scenes on April 19th, including high-speed video of lead balls impacting recreations of historical building materials, and 3-D LIDAR scans of different buildings to see how the shots penetrated inside.

The Emerging Revolutionary War group had a podcast May 22 on their Facebook page that they call "Rev War Revelry" with an interview of Mr. Joel Bohy, author of the book, "Bullet Strikes from the First Day of the American Revolution."

There are lots of fascinating issues discussed, including touching on one of my favorite stories about April 19, James Hayward who is buried at the Acton Memorial with Isaac Davis and Abner Hosmer.

My father didn't serve in WWII.  It wasn't for lack of trying.  He attempted to enlist 3 separate times.  The last time the doctor said he was too short.  He responded that he signed up again because he said he saw a poster that was recruiting short men to be pilots.  The doctor said, "Short, yes.  But this is ridiculous."  In my book, he's still a hero.
