Instructors from Pennsylvania and Ohio gathered at Slippery Rock Sportsman Club last weekend to polish our skills, socialize with our fellow patriots and catch up on the latest administrative developments for Project Appleseed.  While a ferocious rain/windstorm raged outside Saturday, we were grateful to be honing our instructional skills inside the clubhouse.  Many thanks to SRSC for donating the facility for the weekend, and also for supporting Project Appleseed for thirteen years!

Our three veteran shootbosses mentored students with experience levels ranging from an Instructor with almost 50 events to his credit to Instructors-In-Training with only one or two events under their belts.  Topics ranged from interactive discussions on Attributes of an Instructor and the importance of Seventh-Stepping to hands-on experience running a Mock Firing Line and presenting the dreaded Inches, Minutes and Clicks lesson.

As we wrapped things up Sunday afternoon everyone agreed that it had been time well spent.  Everyone left with increased understanding of the program and some new tools in their instructional toolbox.  Thank you all for dedicating a weekend to becoming a better Appleseed instructor.  I hope you all had a great time.  I know that I did!   O0

Had a great time, and more importantly, learned a lot. Thanks for putting it on and thanks to our host!

It was a great weekend.  Next year bring more friends!
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

IBC's are great. Sorry I was not able to be there on Saturday due to work. Kinda glad I missed the storm though.
