Well another great event is in the books for the Monroe Sportsman Club located in Conneaut, Ohio. This club is awesome. In order to hold a AS event here the whole club is shutdown. Both the trap ranges and the clubs rifle range too. So a great big thanks to the membership pf the club to allow this. Without the support of clubs like this Project Appleseed would struggle even more.

Ok the nitty gritty:

Lunch both days was provided by donation cost from the local Trail Life troop who were in attendance both days at the shoot. Many thanks go out to the supporters of this troop. Wonderful people. Such a special time spending time with them all.

The weather both days was just divine. You could not ask for any better. I think maybe someone from up above was smiling down at the good times and
togetherness that an event brings.

So a couple of special things happened:
Eric was on site both days to lend a hand. He has scored many times and had taken an orange hat last year. Sadly the paperwork was never completed. Well this time it will be complete. We need young men like Eric..
LTDan finally got above the 210....several times and he decided to help out the mission by taking a orange hat.
Mike who is one of those repeat offenders decided to take up a bucket as well and accept the orange hat.
And then there is Glenn. Well he got above the 210 finally and immediately took up a bucket and a orange hat as well. This family firmly beieves in the mission.

Thank you to all above.

Saturday started out with the morning redcoat. 16 people. We had 10 on target at 100 yards. By the afternoon we had 14. Hmm maybe our instructions are doing something.

Sunday started out with 15 people and a cleared redcoat target by Ricky. Wow how awesome is that oh and by the way he cleared it again that afternoon!

We had a few new riflemen join the ranks: Glenn 210, Dan 213, 221 and Joan(a adaptive bench shooter) 215, 230.

What an awesome event many smiles from everyone.

Revelations12

On April 26, 1777, when she was just 16 years old, Sybil Ludington rode from Putnam County, New York to Danbury, Connecticut to warn of advancing British troops. Her ride took place in the dead of night through dark woods and in the rain, lasting from 9:00 P.M. to dawn the next morning. She rode her horse, Star, over 40 miles to warn 400 militiamen that the British troops were planning to attack Danbury, where the Continental Army held a supply of food and weapons.
