Hard to ask for better weather, a better range, or better shooters.

We had 2 repeat shooters and 6 new shooters.  The weekend saw two new rifleman, and a repeat rifleman.  I saw marked improvement in each and every shooters.  I see it every shoot, but watching groups shrink throughout the weekend always makes me grin.

Special thanks to semaphore for working the shoot with me and doing an exemplary job.  P7, thank you for coming out and bringing the Garand and the muzzle loader.  It was great to finally meet you in person.

Thank you to you and semaphore for a great 2 days.  With your help, and the help of semaphore, I managed to shoot a Rifleman score not just the 1x prior to Sunday lunch, but on a number of the post-lunch AQTs.

I'm grateful for all the marksmanship lessons I've learned on this shoot, and on the prior one I attended in April of this year.  Without your help, a new shooter like me wouldn't be doing nearly as well at rifle marksmanship.

Also grateful for the history instruction, which doesn't get old on the 2d go-round.

And yes, Deer Creek is a great host -- and a great range as well.  Glad to be a member there.
