To my fellow NW Region Appleseed instructors,

It has been a blast getting to know you and working events together on the Appleseed Trail. You are a special bunch and I will miss you all.

I will always be grateful for the impact the Project Appleseed has had on me personally, but it is time for me to move on. Liberty is a precious thing and I will continue to do all that I can to promote it in the hearts and minds of others. I will continue to further the mission, but outside of the walls of Project Appleseed.

In liberty,

George Hacker

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value."   T Paine

What a nation has done, a nation can aspire to.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

Well, shucks, George you have done a fine job for so long the porch roof will topple without you to hold it up. But it has been great working with you and your people skills, although you do need to cut the number of words back just a bit. You have everything for saving America, and like other passions you share you will be doing it where you are when it is needed.

I always find time to share my blog and today's post about General Washington and his need for more divisions is worth reading. Washington's Crossing, really fills in a lot of gaps in Revolutionary War History, should be added to RWVA reading list, and it is recommended on the correct page. Take care and hope we will see you on the trail, it was fun working the Homeschooler event booth, since I was still recovering at the time and it was a pretty positive Appleseed sell in my year that one.

... to catch the fire in another American for sharing the skills and our heritage to our posterity. Maybe my perfect shots will be made by those I met along the trials and trails of Appleseed. I know that America is a nation of Riflemen.

It was my distinct pleasure to have met you, George.  You might remember Laylo and I trying to maneuver you into an Orange Hat long ago at Raahague's down here in SoCal, but as I recall, you'd already made up your mind.

I'm sure our paths will cross again at some point, but until then, thanks for all you've done.   O0  Stay healthy.

George,
It has been genuine pleasure working and meeting you.  It seems a long time ago that we were climbing the orange hat ladder. You have done far more for Appleseed than most, including myself.  You will be sorely missed. Thank you for your service.  I am proud to be your brother in liberty.  Hopefully our paths will meet somewhere on the rifleman/liberty trail again.

Shoot straight my friend.
