Hi all,
I had someone tell me about your organization and we are very interested. Currently we don't have a .22 rifle but looking at purchasing one. My question is if my husband and I both want to come on a weekend of training do we both need to have our own rifle or can we share? We would like to do this together but not sure we want to purchase 2 guns.

We would be going to the Medical Lake Wa Weekend.

Thank you

Margie

Purchasing 2 rifles would be the way to go. I've never seen or heard of the shooting component of an Appleseed being run in relays.

Margie-

Thank you for your interest in attending a Project Appleseed event!

While we typically ask that our students each bring their own rifle, there is a possibility of borrowing one from an instructor for use at the event.  If you'd like to explore this option, I can help you contact the instructors that are signed up to work the Medical Lake, WA event, and see if they can help you out.   No guarantees though...

Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Margie,

Please do not let a lack of rifle stop you and your husband from attending. Something can be worked out with the instructor  cadre from the Northwest Region that WA state falls. Please send a PM (personal message) to ShadowMan and/or Theophilus, both gentlemen will be able to assist you and put you in touch with the shoot boss of the Medical Lake event.

As ItsanSKS said do not hesitate to ask any other questions you may have...

Thank you all for your responses. We really appreciate it.

ItsanSKS, we would like to explore the possibility of borrowing one from an instructor for the event. We are planning to purchase one this weekend and feel that a .22 rifle would be more economical and fit in with what we already have. We would like to wait before purchasing two until after the event to see if we fall in love with the Appleseed program.

We understand that there is no guarantees and maybe my husband will have to do it first and then myself next time but doing it together would be ideal for learning and encouragement. So please let us know how we can contact the instructor to ask our question.

Thanks so much for being so helpful

Just drop me an email at wa@appleseedinfo.org, or pm me on these forums.

The odds are good that an instructor at the event you attend will have a rifle you can borrow, especially if we know ahead of time.

Looking forward to seeing you and your husband at an event soon.
