Vale OR, center fire ammo conservatition.

The Vale, OR. real distance shoot will be held on a range that has a target pit and fireing lines at 100, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 yards away from the targets.
There will bo no 82' shooting.
Half the shooters will be in the pit scoring all the time, and time spent by shooters moving from 1- 400 yards will use up some time.
Other ammo saving measures will include 3 round groups for sighters and 3 round groups for mag change drills.
250 rounds should be enough to get through the weekend's course of fire.

Did I read somewhere connected to this event that we need to bring a spotting scope?
If so, any guidance on what I should look for in acquiring one?

With spotting scopes the sky is the limit, But the scopes that work the best for prone shooters have an angled eyepeice and a rod type stand that allows the scope to be low enough to see through it with out breaking prone position, but also allows the scope to be used in sitting and standing.
If your rifle is scoped with a 3-9 or 4-16 you should be able to see well enough.
A pair of binoculars will do.
