Memorial shoot in honor of HistoryBuff (Maisey Loucks)

SaraSpa Rod & Gun Club is planning  a ceremony to dedicate the 200 yard building in honor of Maisey Loucks on August 24th.   

They will hold a memorial benefit match that day as well.  Food and drinks will be provided.  We will share more info as we get closer to the date.

Make plans to come out and enjoy the day, sharing memories of Maisey

This is a fantastic idea. In the last year plus we've lost three members of the NY Appleseed family - Maisey (Historybuff), Nick (Josey Wales), and Bill (SgtMarine).

This is new ground for me, maybe dedicate an AQT to each person? I can give a quick talk about each person before Stage 1. Is there a standard Appleseed protocol for this?

We have a dedicated memorial volley as part of the standard course of fire for our Patriot's Day shoots in April, so it seems appropriate to incorporate Maisey, Nick, Bill and Stephen (seven95) into that ceremony - although we don't necessarily have to do it that way. I'll connect with you and Nicole to discuss some options

At our next shoot, I would like to have a moment of silence for Maisey.
To be sure I don't mispronounce her last name, could someone give me an idea?
Is it like Lukes? Like loud but with a k sound? Lucks? I just really want to get it correct.
Maisey to me should be pretty easy; Maze-y.

I had some time to reflect on this, and I feel it would be more meaningful to conduct this memorial volley for our volunteers in a separate ceremony on the 200yd range (the range being dedicated to Maisey) on Sunday afternoon while we're running our KD exercises over there.  We don't want to detract from the solemn ceremony dedicated to the patriots who gave their lives on April 19th, but we also want to honor the patriots who dedicated their time and support to Project Appleseed.  We can achieve both of those goals with respect in separate memorial volleys.  Matt, Nikki - I'll follow up in my email chain for input on how we can make that dedicated memorial volley special for Maisey (Historybuff), Nick (Josey Wales), Bill (SgtMarine), and Stephen (seven95).  It will be an honor to be there with all of you for that, since I cannot make the dedication in August
