Josey Wales has gone home to be with his Maker

Damn, crushing news. Way before Appleseed and meeting Nick I used to love his bands from the late 80s/early 90s.

Rest in Power Josey Wales.

My sincere condolences to all who knew him. And a debt of gratitude for the foundation of Liberty laid down in NY.

I randomly met him once at the country store at Hogback Mountain on Rt 9 through Vermont while traveling through with my family.  Saw a guy wearing an Appleseed T-shirt and got to talking.

Rest in Peace Brother.

Wow. Not what I expected to read this morning. My interactions with Nick were few but highly memorable, and every one of them positive. You will be missed, brother.

I did not know him except that he was an Appleseeder. And thus my brother. Rest easy brother.

My condolences to his friends and family. May you meet again in Heaven.

Traveled down to Queens w/ Genmain yesterday to sign in at the wake. Nick was a great guy and a great patriot. He leaves behind a great family.
He is missed.

This was a real shock. This reply is late because I couldn't think of the proper words; still can't. He came to a KD at my home range in TN a few years ago and visited in my home. We have remained friends ever since then. We talked on the phone occasionally and he had a number of posts on the forum about some of my events. I had planned to call him a few days beforehand and failed to do so. I shall regret that forever. I am so sorry for his family.

Amen. I've had that happen twice where I meant to call somebody but didn't. And then they were gone and I've regretted it from then to now.

Many years ago - late 70s - I was in college. I used to ride the bus back and forth to get to college. I'd take the '46 route' to get home. One day I was in the middle of downtown San Antonio. I had to get the transfer bus - I had to take 2 busses each way -  and the bus stop also had the 36 route bus stop there which went to near where she lived. I got a notion that I needed to take the 36 and go see my grandmother. I went and visited her. She asked me to read her some scripture which I did. I then walked home a few miles. When I got home I told my brother he needed to go visit her. Tomorrow. And if he didn't he'd get his butt kicked.

Thankfully my brother did go visit the next day.

She passed away the day after that.

Never put off till tomorrow these kinds of things.

I just learned of it today myself, sad to say. Nick will be sorely missed, not just as an AS instructor, but as a friend and patriot.

I also had brief but memorable meetings, mostly at events, with Nick. His strength of character and enthusiasm for Liberty was strong and his willingness to help and be helpful was second to none.

He had gone through a lot the last several years, I also wish I could have reached out to him one more time. He will be missed.

We are diminished.
